   My wife and I were visiting the Sonoma and Napa valleys as wine and country landscape fans. We have always enjoyed the St. Francis Zinfandel blend bottles, so we decided to pay a visit to St. Francis to enjoy the 5 course wine tasting and pairing. Firstly, I have to say Kevin, one of the hosts to the group, was incredible, professional, and has the most contagious laugh and joyful spirit an individual can have. Truly made for the job and catered to the likings of all the guests taking extra care to sculpt the experiences to each individual. Secondly, at only $125 per head, the experience is a steal. Albeit, the courses were quite fast, and as individuals who like dining, we would’ve appreciated a little more time for the courses to be able to enjoy the bites, the sips, and the company/conversations. With that being said, the service did not feel rushed. Thirdly, sous chef Nick was able to stand for feedback on the experience with a seemingly genuine interest to curate a memorable dining experience that continues to value the input from its consumers to elevate and improve. Overall, if you’re considering going, do it. Just make sure Kevin is working!

   We can not think of one downside to this experience. 18 others- our group was fun (the group members could be a downside...), our hosts knowledgeable, and the food fantastic!! The wine goes without saying....perfectly paired. Given the price point to eat out these days, the cost is well worth it. The setting was lovely. We plan to return.

   We did the lunch with wine pairing Experience, and the food and wines were incredible. Beautiful setting, the 5 courses we ate were simply stunning and I would have ordered any of them in a standalone restaurant. My friends and I bought many of the wines to take home! Recommended to my family who live in the Bay Area

   Gorgeous spot and killer food to pair with spectacular wines. We finished our touring day here with a late lunch and couldn’t have been a better way to cap the afternoon. Highly recommend!

    First of all, this is not just a wine and food pairing. It is 5 course gourmet meal with wine pairings for each course. The event was held in a dining room with glass wall on two sides looking out into the vineyards. It is hosted by two very knowledgeable people who explain each dish and paired wine. The service approaches what you would expect in a high end restaurant. Finally the food was delicious and the pairings worked with the wines. We will return for this experience on our next trip to wine country.

    I've been going here for a number of years. Service was not available during the pandemic. I'm disappointed because the food was not at good as it was the last time I was there, 2-3 years ago. Not even close. I guess because of different chefs. So will not be returning.

    love the wine and food pairing experience. this was the third or fourth time we have come to St Francis and learned a good deal about the wines and what foods they go with. This time we found the portions in each course a little larger than previously and were not wowed by the lamb or pork courses. they were very, very good, just not wow. will probably go back although prices have gotten steeper.

    Unbelievable experience at St. Francis - we had the Estate Food and Wine Pairing - the menu was amazing and the wine was fantastic. The property is so scenic, we could have stayed there all day. Will 100% return in the future!

    We traveled with some friends to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. We booked the Wine & Food Pairing experience and everything was fantastic! Executive Chef Peter Janiak spent some time with the group afterwards, answering questions. I would definitely recommend St. Francis Winery and Vineyards.

    On a rainy afternoon, we enjoyed the warm hospitality of the St. Francis staff, the delicious food pairings, and comfortable dining on the covered and heated patio. The vista toward the vineyard was brilliant green vines with a cloudy mountain top--truly a memorable spring stop in wine country.

    A group of 6 of us enjoyed the food/wine pairing. The food was superb, atmosphere/setting was beautiful and the service was very good. The only thing that was very disappointing is that they don't allow buying a bottle of wine afterwards on the property. They only allowed a glass(s) of wine to be purchased. This was very surprising as all the other wineries allowed bottle or glass purchases after a tasting. We felt like this was their way of making more money (per glass) versus allowing us to buy a bottle of wine to enjoy. Other than that we had a lovely time.

    Would have rated a 5 overall and for service but for the cold and indifferent and unwelcoming woman who checked us in (I am sure you know who she is) and hope it was not due to our nationality although we are Americans. I don't know if this happens to everyone. We were celebrating a milestone Anniversary and not looking for confrontation. Kevin and Katie almost made up for it. They were both wonderful as was the wine and food paring event itself. Just cannot forgive the unwelcome start to the event since it will always be a blemish in our memory. We are recommending St Francis only because we hope this review will lead to a change in the manner of service at check in.

    Three of us had the “Estate Pairing” served on the Vineyard Portico. For $70 per person, we enjoyed several courses of extremely well prepared and tasty food with a variety of St. Francis wines. We started with chipotle shrimp prepared in a blood orange sauce served with Chardonnay. We then had soft cheese and mushroom on a crostini, followed by baby back ribs in a cherry reduction. Dessert was a chocolate “brownie” made with tahini. We weren’t impressed by the St. Francis wines but dazzled by the food. Given how expensive food and wine pairings have become in Sonoma and Napa, St. Francis’ offering is a bargain.
