We had been here for dinner and thought the food was very good so we came back for brunch and we were not disappointed! Had the fluffiest pancakes ever! Will definitely be back!
I've been for dinner once and brunch three times. I've had amazing meals and treatment each and every time. It's my go to brunch spot, with just enough selections as to not overwhelm you. Try the homemade prime rib hash, you won't be disappointed!! Already planning our next brunch!!

The ambiance is the best; local musicians playing the guitar and singing. Great selection of beer and wines. Then the food is just heavenly, good specials, everything from scratch and so fresh. It is one of our favorite places to eat.
We took our friends who were in from Miami last night. My friend Cathy and I had the Carpetbagger which is a filet mignon (totally melted in your mouth) topped with a lobster tail and bernaise sauce. Cooked exactly as we ordered it. Her husband had the scallops and bacon and loved it. My husband had the seafood newburg special which he really enjoyed. Dave Yaeger was playing guitar which was so much fun. Marnie was our waitress and we were amazed how she was able to cover both rooms as well as some help from Amy. Helene is a fabulous chef and never disappoints. We proudly take any friends and guests here knowing it will be excellent and fun everytime!

This was our first time coming for brunch on Sunday. We were so pleased to have made a reservation as it was packed. We both had bloody mary's one virgin and one real. Very tasty. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict and my husband had pulled pork instead of Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was out of this world delicious. I wanted to drink it. Also the hash browns and mini cut up fruit was great too. Helene really outdid herself. We'll be back for more as well as always coming back for dinner.

As always Stomping Grounds Grille doesn't disappoint! Helene the chef owner, Charlie her son and Leanne the server were amazing. We started with the pumpkin ravioli special which was really delicious. We both had the Swordfish Nantucket which was a beautiful piece of swordfish topped with shrimp, scallops and a marsala sauce. Totally fab and the rice too which I'm not usually a fan of. Dave Yaegar the guitar player was fun and terrific. We had a wonderful evening. Thanks!

Love this place eclectic atmosphere with great food and music but not too loud the music does not over power the conversation
The food was very good, but the wait was almost a half hour from seating to getting our drinks (28 minutes to be exact). No waters were offered while we waited either. We were told this is a once a year situation due to a catering obligation. Food was really great, but vegetarian offerings were almost non-existent. In fact, no entrees are listed on the menu, but they did prepare a delicious pasta after asking. This is quite surprising for such an upscale place nowadays.
Everything was outstanding, from the service, to the meal, drinks, and live entertainment. Definitely going back!!
This is a hidden jewel! Creative menu, awesome staff and most of all amazing food that is made to order! My "go to" favorite restaurant...Charming and quaint but not stuffy....I say go and bring your appetite so you can try a at least 2 to 3 appetizers which is outstanding too!
We have been to the Stomping Grounds Grille several times now and the food and service never disappoints. We love it there and encourage anyone in the area to check it out on your way to or from the Cape. Reservations are recommended since the dining areas are rather small.
We went for our 33rd anniversary and we were wowed at the amazing food and care that they took. Leeann was the waitress for 2 busy rooms and did it with such grace. Helene had to have been slammed in the kitchen but came out to wish us the best. Charlie as well was so generous and sweet. We love this place, the food and the people. They outdo themselves every time. Also Dave Yaeger playing his guitar was fun, fun , fun! Thank you for making a wonderful celebration better!

Delicious Prime Rib, Pistachio crusted Salmon special and Shrimp and Lobster Tarragon. Piano/guitar player on Saturday night that interacted with guests. I wish we lived close...this would be my new favorite place!

The food and service were very good. The live music was just the right volume level, though the dining room though nicely appointed, has no sound-absorbing fabric, other than the table clothes. The party (literally) close to us was 8 woman all trying to 'out-talk' each other.
Our server was fantastic! The seafood casserole was perfect; I was expecting little seafood and lots of sauce, and instead the dish was ALL seafood, and simply dressed with slight amount of butter... perfect!
My wife and I Love coming here for the excellent food, service and drinks. Great atmosphere too.

We had a 7:15 pm reservation and when we arrived were told that a large party had come in and basically overwhelmed them -- tables, servers and kitchen. In a short time, we were seated outdoors, which was fine. Servers were apologetic, but totally preoccupied with the larger party, and did not check in with us regularly. We waited well over an hour for apps, and waited so long for entrees that were about to leave. It was close to 9pm when we were moved indoors due to chilly temps, and finally got our entrees. The server was nice enough to comp our drinks, which I appreciate, but clearly, this restaurant did not have their mgt. act together that night. I would not return and cannot recommend this restaurant.
We brought 3 new people there on Saturday night. The place was jam packed but Leanne served as well as bar tending. Helene turned out amazing meals as usual. The music guy was very considerate on his loudness level checking in with us several times. I had the prime rib special cooked perfectly, my husband had the lobster ravioli's (wow) and the pulled pork sandwich. Our other 2 friends had the fish specials and another friend had the scallops and gruyere. Everyone had clean plates. They had desserts but I was so full. Always a winner in our book and we like taking friends from all over. It's our hidden gem.

My wife and I had one of the most delicious meals ever ! The Filet Mignon was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth to die for !!! Cannot believe we did not know about this incredible restaurant before this summer. OUTSTANDING !!!
We had a delicious and wonderful night. Helene the owner chef checked in and helped out. It was unusually busy for a week day night. Charlie was great being the only wait person. Everything was delicious.
As always, the food was excellent. My husband had their salmon special and I chose the cod casserole. The cod was a bit bland, but with some lemon, salt and pepper to perk it up, and the delicious vegetable ratatouille side, it was very good. Portions are plentiful, food is always fresh, and atmosphere is very congenial with a guitarist in the front room (we usually sit in the back room so we can talk), but it's very enjoyable and not overwhelmingly loud. I would recommend it to anyone.
Stomping Grounds is a gem of a restaurant. I love the coziness, the fresh food, the service, and of course the music selection. 5 stars from me!
This has become a go to local destination for us. Food and atmosphere are wonderful.
We tried The Stomping Grounds Grille for the first time on a Saturday night at 7:00 PM. Luckily we were able to get a reservation on Open Table easily. The Tourist season is not quite yet in full swing though. The restaurant is an old house with small dining rooms in various rooms. There was a soloist playing guitar and keyboard singing mostly Beatles songs. It was nice. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. We both had the stuffed quohog appetizer which was flavorful and piping hot. I had the special, Pistachio Encrusted Salmon with Basmati rice and steamed veggies. My partner had the Prime rib. It was a large serving and he said it was cooked the way he liked it and was tender and flavorful. We will be back.
