Great draft list and the fries are amazing! Can’t wait for filet to be back in the menu! Great spot
everything was excellent, waitress was super, ordered gravy for french fries and there was a $2.00 up charge no one mentioned - should have told us when we ordered. never been charged anywhere for this before
Service and food was terrific!
Wine was not however-seemed old...
Nice patio setting.
I've been to John Stones many times. Always a good experience. Good food and value. I might wait until the C19 restrictions for restaurants are a little more relaxed or until restaurants have the kinks worked out to write a more detailed review, but all said it was the normal good experience.
Other than the train blowing it’s whistle multiple times, it was great . Outdoor dining , food was great and a good selection of wine and beers. The scallop app was fantastic , fish and chips and salmon entrees were very good
Everything was great from the time we walked in to the time we left. Food was delicious and the staff was courteous. it was nice to see them addressing "lack of mask" issues with customers wandering around with no masks on. REALLY! What don't they get? You guys get an A+ rating.
The food and drink were outstanding...our first meal out since pandemic.
My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch -sandwiches, fries and beer. We ate out on the patio. The food was delicious with generous portions. It was lovely to be outside and felt safe with everyone wearing masks and the tables distanced from each other.
Everything was really as we wanted it the staff was friendly & welcoming the food outstanding and proper safety precautions followed
Great to be able to sit outside . Not rushed to finish our meal. Able to sit and enjoy.
Our first time dining out at Stone’s Public House outdoors was perfect. We made reservations for outdoor dining and we sat down immediately. The menu had a variety of new menu items. The lobster roll was delicious as well as the creamy cod fish with clams and potatoes. The cabbage and beef egg roll was a perfect appetizer. The patio was quiet but with enough ambience to entice us to come back for more outdoor dining at Stone’s Public House!
Beautiful patio! I bit expensive though.. nice selection of draft beers!
So good. We were nervous about eating out amidst a pandemic, however they made us feel comfortable. They sanitized the tables well (and left a sign to let everyone know it’s available for use). Thank you for wearing masks and gloves as well. The food was literally amazing (and I swear it’s not just because I’ve been stuck with my cooking the past few months). 12/10 will be back. We love you!!!!!!!
P.s. the patio is a garden dream. 🥰
Our server Daisy was very nice and attentive. We sat outside on the right side porch protected from the rain. On a few occasions, the commuter rail came by and we’d take a short pause in the conversation. We had a great time.
Great service. Responsible during these COVID times. Excellent food.
It was uncannily quiet - the rain might have scared others away.
Great food, as always, but the Guinness was way off tonight... Just not the draw required to keep the stout drinkable. This is usually Stone's secret weapon, but it was very poor.
Delicious salmon. Do not recommend the fish and chips.
Great to start to get out again. It was wonderful to enjoy food at a restaurant and Stones has a great patio area. Food, drinks and service were all outstanding! Thanks for a fun night out!
Love the cabbage and corn beef egg rolls, and the roasted cod was fabulous!
Overall very nice dining experience. Eating outside was a nice change. For those not familiar with Stone House it gets a bit noisy when the train goes by. The food was delicious!
Delicious as always and great spot to sit outside. They seem to be taking all of the necessary precautions due to covid.
I wasn't able to see the inside due to Covid but the outdoor space they have is very nice.
Patio, food and service were all great! Cannot wait to go back!
Best at pub food. French fries (chips) are as good as you’ll find in the area. Clear thought put into keeping everyone safe. Particularly good place to eat if you’re fond of train noise.
We had a great meal. Our server was attentive. And we felt all the precautions were taken to keep our visit safe.
Lobster roll was delicious. I recommend the polenta.
This was our first time dining out during the pandemic and it was EXCELLENT!! The food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful and most importantly everything was super clean!!
Food was delicious. Service was exceptional! Outside seating made us feel safe from the virus. The only drawback is the drink pricing. We only go there for special occasions.
John Stone's never disappoints. Excellent food and friendly staff. The patio is awesome.
Great Food, Great Service, Fair Prices, Great Outside Seating!
Everything was great up until this review ordered me to do a 50 word minimum. I mean I could do something like this:
It was good.
Wonderful Father’s Day celebration!
Great spot, enjoy the patio in the summer and the fireplace in the winter.
Loved it!! Plenty of space and wonderful environment!!
We joined Stone’s for late lunch outside - it was a terrific experience, absolutely fantastic service & yummy food. There is a nice selection of locally brewed craft beers and cider - perfect for a hot summer day! The restaurant team was also very diligently keeping the space clean and were very welcoming as well.
We both had the cobb salad. Nothing about it that made me want to come back for another one. Beer was decent. Train does go through this area and went by twice while we were sitting outside but after being in quarantine, I could care less. Service was a little slow but I didn't mind it since we weren't in a rush.
Great service, awesome food and you definitely get your moneys worth
A legendary restaurant around the Ashland area you need to go to. Excellent food and service. The atmosphere hearkened back to hundreds of years ago adding to the experience. Sadly, I spotted no ghosts. Maybe next time.
The food was great and the service was excellent. A comfortable and safe dining experience.
Food, service and drinks were Fantastic! I would highly recommend Stones Public House. I had a the red sangria and it was the most delicious sangria I have had from any of the other local establishments.
