Stone's Public House
Great service, food and beer selections as always.
Love trivia night
Always a great meal with friend servers. Food selection is perfect for the winter season and the draft beer list is one the best around.
Had a pleasant experience again, service was alittle slow due to the busyness of the restaurant. We did enjoy our Friendsgiving celebration.
Stone's provides well-prepared, tasty food for a reasonable cost. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, seating was quick, and service was fine. Noise level does vary based on seating, but it is generally fine for talking with people with whom you are dining.
Our server was wonderful ! She was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable. The food was great too. We were seated by the fireplace which was perfectly cozy !
Was very happy to be able to make a last minute reservation on a Saturday night.
Our table was waiting for us, the service was excellent and the food awesome. The pork shank was to die for.
The fish stew was awesome!!! I always have this meal when I go.
My husbands fish and chips was soggy and just not good. He has had it there before and loved it! Must have been an off night.
Not too busy. Service was ok except the waitress did not bring us serving utensils or separate plates for our shared salad which btw was excellent.
The Irish soda bread was the best I’ve ever had.
This restaurant has always been our go to place but my husband is not too keen now on going back!
Too bad because I love that fish stew!!!
It was a great dining experience. Love the music and Bloody Mary Bar.
Charming atmosphere with the lore of the former inn being haunted. Great menu and wonderful staff.
Love the pub atmosphere and the food is always great. A great neighborhood spot in a historic building.
Went for my sons birthday dinner. We all enjoyed our dinners. Great buffalo chicken wing appetizer and cocktails.
We had a wonderful evening with friends.
Terrific selection of local craft beers.
The pork shank and chicken sandwich were delicious.
Great food and very comfortable. We were there on Trivia Night which made it loud, but a heck of a lot of fun!
Met family members for a Sunday brunch on a special occasion, first time any of us had ever eaten there - food, service were great. I would recommend.
Love the atmosphere of Stone's, especially the bar area and tables near fire place in the back.
Relaxed dinner after a late work night with my son. Great food and service.
Overall pleasant experience but the fish and chips was not the best in my opinion.
We were quickly seated at a comfortable table. Our waitress was warm and welcoming. She also let me know that there was only one order of one of the specials available when I said I wanted it, she put in the order immediately. It was excellent.
This was a family brunch for our son’s 25th birthday. Totally blind pick as the family is spread out and we looked at a map online to try and find a place that was roughly equidistant for travel. Allie at the bar got us started while waiting for the group and Tori was our server. Both were very helpful and social, we couldn’t have asked for nicer people. The food was very good and everyone was pleased with their selection. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for nice place for a family get together.
Just what you are looking for! Irish Pub food with a twist. Whole experience worked for us. Parking, Server, Bartenders. All on the top of their game. Chef, nice job with the food, most importantly.
Food is always fresh and delicouse and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I hadn’t been to Stone’s Inn in years and years. My sister’s and I decided to take my mom there for her birthday. The 4 of us ordered sandwiches. When they came the waitress had mistakenly ordered mine on wheat toast. When I told her about the sandwich being on the bread she said that I in fact ordered that bread because that is what she wrote down. When I said again that is not the bread I ordered she again said it was because that is what she wrote down. She offered to have the bread switched. My mom and I decided to split her sandwich because they were so big neither of us would have finished the ones we ordered. I was very satisfied with this and let the waitress know it was okay and she didn’t have to bring the sandwich back. The next thing we knew is the manager is at out table with the sandwich that I ordered on the correct bread. When I told the manager that I had told the waitress that I didn’t want the sandwich that I was splitting the sandwich with my mom she came back with, “Well, she told you it would only take a few seconds to switch the bread.” I told her I didn’t need the sandwich at this point but she would not let it go and said that the waitress had written down that the sandwich had been ordered on wheat bread. I was given such an attitude about this order. I wasn’t upset by the mistake because the half sandwich was plenty. But the treatment from the waitress and then the manager was rude and unnecessary. I will think twice about going back.
Excellent service by our favorite waitress, Jennifer. Food was good. We ordered two of the nightly specials and were pleasantly surprised.
Friendly staff. Very good service. Delicious meal!
Very good food and great service. Shepard’s pie with lamb delicious. Haven’t been to this restaurant in years and will definitely go again soon.
We are new to the area and this was the first place we checked out. We absolutely loved it! We sat outside and aside from the loud trains, the patio was lovely. Service was friendly and accommodating (we had our 1 yr old with us), and our server was very attentive. Food was Delicious and menu had a good variety of options. The rest of the staff we encountered were very outgoing and friendly. We can’t wait to check out the fire place in the Winter!
Pub food; consistently good quality. Wait staff is always pleasant and cheerful. Excellent neighborhood spot. We always enjoy.
Great Service and Great Food!!
This has been out favorite local restaurant for years. It never disappoints!
The Mac and cheese was like soup. Awful. But the rest of the food was delicious! Waitress was pretty good too
We haven’t been there in awhile. There is a new menu with all the old favorites. There is a greatly expanded craft beer list which seems to be a focus of theirs The wine list is interesting with enough choice to satisfy a Wine lover. I had a special, a lobster roll. A grilled brioche roll filled with lobster meat from 2 claws and the tail. Given the size of the claw meat it had to be from a 2 pounder. There was no “filler “ material and it was a bargain at $22. The dining room had several large parties and the noise level made it hard to have a conversation. The food and service made up for it
Atmosphere is great! We traveled 45 minutes to listen to the Irish Session music. We enjoyed the music, service was great. Friendly comfortable place.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was wonderful. Irish bread was good, not exactly as my grandmother made it yet nice flavor. Portions good size. Will definitely return.
My friend and I use to go to John Stone’s Inn when we were attending college at Framingham State. After “ many” years, we decided to meet for dinner at the now Stone’s Public House. The food was excellent and the waitress (Kim) was very helpful. I had the salmon and my girlfriend had the fish and chips. Both were cooked just right. I highly recommend the French fries as a side! The only thing missing was the “2 for 1” drinks that use to be offered every time a train went by, which ultimately was the reason we use to go the Inn in our earlier years. I found myself still getting excited at the sound of the train, but perfectly fine with the fact that it didn’t mean a second free drink. Thanks for the memories.
Brunch had a good selection of breakfast or lunch food. The omelette was tasty, home fries were bland. I was delighted to see there was live music scheduled during our meal, however the singer was so loud it interfered with conversation
The food and service was amazing. Quaint little gem. Braised pork shank was perfect and incredible. The lamb was very good as well! We’ll definitely be back!
Good food great selection of mix drinks and wines excellent service. 👍👍
Stone’s is a fun, casual, easy place to go with friends, especially on a summer night. The patio is terrific, especially when a train passes through. Where else can you get that? It’s a unique local thing.
The food is reliable if not spectacular. The drinks are very good.
The service was not up to the usual standards we experience and expect at Stone's. The food was OK.
