Taberna de Haro
Everyone was great and accommodating
Typical Spanish food tapas.. patatas bravas with mediums quality mayo . Aubergines a little bit too oily.
Lovely spot, wonderful ambience, great date spot, wonderful service, highly recommended overall.
Fantastic meal as always, with exceptional service and absolutely spot on wine/sherry recommendations.
It was a flawless restaurant experience and a great value.
food is bland, sangria less than mediocre, theyonly have 2 kinds of beers , wine is lousy
atomosphere boring, older crowd
barcelona down the street blows it out of tthe water
Wonderful food with an amazing number of choices. Wines and sherries also amazing. Service and ambiance makes it a perfect night out.
Wonderful food and great wine list. Service was excellent with good recommendations. Table was fine, but a little tight. Definitely easier when outdoor seating is available.
Love this place. So authentic
The Spanish reds we tried were both very enjoyable (Mourvèdre & Seis). We shared the special trout, the papas, and the spicy shrimp and all were delicious.
I’ll be back
Deborah runs a fabulous restaurant. Her wine list, service, food (tapas and regular dishes and desserts) is excellent. We have come back again and again with various friends and visitors over the years.
Phenomenal
The lamb chops, pisto and meatballs were fantastic. Best tapas I have had in a while. It’s a very cozy and intimate environment. I highly recommend it!
Simply one of the best in Boston. Go there. Now.
We've been here many times and it is our favorite restaurant in the city. This particularly evening they were a little off - the lamb chops were very salty and the patatas bravas were a bit spicier then usual. The chops will probably be off our order list now - too expensive to risk them not being right. however, the scallops special, which we were lucky enough to have had in the past, was once again, fantastic. We'll be back because there are so many wonderful things to love about TdH.
We love this place and go often. It is a bit pricey on some items but we always leave full and happy!
An excellent collection of Spanish wine and gin, and live classic guitar!
It was New Year’s Eve & busy, yet all went smoothly— well organized, informed, great team work amid all the servers and the kitchen. Lovely night!
Extensive selection of sherries may be worth the trip. Mostly good dishes. But, it can be difficult decoding which menu items are tapas-like and which are more like a main.
Four of us came for a semester-end office gathering and were delighted by the excellent, varied food, the attentive, friendly service, and pleasant, mellow atmosphere. We did not have to shout to be heard, and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing all of the dishes. Our server advised us well with regard to quantity. We will all happily return.
Nice ambience and very good wine list.
Small plate offerings could be increased.
Best bets were garlic shrimp and fava beans.
Pork skewers were a bit gristly.
Bread is outrageously good and the flan delicious.
Excellent!
Fantastic tapas selection and a most amazing wine list!
It's a little pricey in my opinion but the food is very good, the drinks are amazing and the service is outstanding. Additionally, the space itself is really lovely.
Food was well prepared and each dish had a distinctive taste. Surprised that when asked for olive oil for dipping bread, was told that there would be a $4 charge. Never experienced that before.
This is the second time that we have eaten at Taberna. When we want good tapas this is the place we go. The food is always good and you can find dishes that no one else does. And the wine list has wines from Spain that just never seem to make it into wine stores.
The service is knowledgable and friendly.
Always a lovely time having tapas and traditional Spanish food
Kindest staff accommodated my baby son marvelously and made sure we had what we needed to actually enjoy dinner. No small feat with a little person! Very grateful for kindness of the team, and REALLY impressed with food quality. We had a madrileño with us, and he was pretty darn happy at the meal’s authenticity.
I had an excellent meal at Taberna....delicious paella and tapas. The eggplant was memorable. However, I was a bit disappointed by the chorizo.
We really, really enjoyed this cozy spot for it's excellent food, wine, and sherry! My only criticism was that our table was sticking into a busy doorway a little. When wait staff and other customers whizzed by it was a bit awkward.
very small portions for the price on tiny plates. we each ordered a separate item and one came out and had to wait 15 min for the second one. Nice server but as it got busy very difficult to get something. with all the places in Boston, this one is overrated. My friend got very sick from the calamari
Fabulous and authentic Spanish tapas. Delicious wines!!
Good spanish food, certains dishes are outstanding (rabbit, gambas, mushrooms and duck egg...), others good (pulpo a la gallega, croquetas) and some to avoid (cold cuts tasted like the plastic wrapping they come in) but overall the experience is worth it. The wine list is impressive (which of course means the price list is high) and you won't be disappointed. Good for couples and groups, a little loud but you can still have a conversation. Looking forward to my next visit to try more of their menu.
Truly a hidden gem of Boston. Outstanding selection of tapas and wines. Wonderful quiet intimate mood. Awesome bar. Can't get enough! Although a bit on the expensive side, worth every dime!
Everything was greet. Service was exceptional. Our server knew everything . We’ll be back
Sangria and food are great, but I think the quality has gone done in the last year. I’ve gone here every year for the last 4-5 years when I’m in town in November. This time the quality did seem a bit different. Still delicious and a great spot, though. I’d still return.
Very authentic food - well executed. fabulous wine list including many hard to find Spanish wines of older vintages. Comprehensive sherry list also. The only let down was the waiter forgetting to put our paella order into the kitchen - we elected to forego the additional 30min wait. profuse apologies offered and frankly by then we had already dined well on the many other dishes already consumed.
I would definitely return and look forward to exploring the wine list further.
Delicious foods, fantastic wine and sherry menus. Favorite haunt since the 90s and it’s still our go-to destination for a great meal though the drive is significantly longer for us now!
Yummy tapas, especially the shrimp and also the spinach with pine nuts. They also offered some full meals, like the rabbit which was tender and delicious.
excellent tapas , great wines, and great suggestions from our waiter.
Only negative was very wobbly hightop table, but hostess did her best to make it better.
Pretty noisy, but still possible to hold a conversation.
Love it!
