Taberna de Haro
Service was exceptional!
Servers were both knowledgeable and kind, making for an delightful, delicious, and educational experience!
The food was good but the price point didn’t match the quality/quantity of the food. Easily expect to spend $100 for two people.
Exquisite Spanish tapas, every dish a total delight and treat, we have been eating there probably starting right after they opened some years ago.
As a teenager, I used to work behind the soda fountain of the Hitchcock Pharmacy drug store that was there in 1960, the summer before I went away to college.
Food choice could include more poultry..and veggies, but all delicious
We spent a lovely evening on the outdoor patio. Service was attentive, food was delicious. If anything, the plates were brought out too quickly!
The food was very good, but I think they need to keep a better track of what’s been ordered.
We were with family and everyone enjoyed the meal. The variety of dishes was great. So many flavors.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food came out quickly and at the right pace.
My daughter was particularly fond of the calamari in squid ink aioli.
Taberna de Haro is an AMAZING experience every time! The service is so wonderful and the space is extremely warm and inviting for however long you plan to stay. I say this because with such a lengthy wine and liquors list, as well as a menu that you can't choose wrong with - you could end up staying for quite a while. A must try!
Food was good but quite expensive for tapas.
My sister has a gluten allergy and the staff was on top of it. We had plenty of food she could eat and she liked everything! The food was good and the presentation was excellent. The half chicken was cooked expertly and the shrimp was perfect and the oil paired well with the bread.
The Patatas bravas were a little drenched and had a bit to much spice to the balance. The space is amazing to be in probably an excellent date spot but we were placed right next to the live music which was great to listen to but very hard to hear one another and we had a lot of traffic with the bar and servers.
Overall I would highly recommend! I will be hopefully returning agin to sample from the wide menu of options!
Wonderful service great food unpretentious relaxed ambiance.
Excellent selection of tapas and insanely extensive wine and sherry list. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Loved it
Lovely tapas and outstanding wine list, with great sherry too. Outdoor seating is a plus!
The sits are not comfortable ...hard wood or metal.
Dinner was wonderful and the sangria hit the spot!
Fantastic evening. Great food. Good wine recommendation.
We were very well taken care of! Such a wonderful neighborhood gathering.
Although a little pricy, the selections were fresh and unique. Totally worth it!!!
We can’t stop loving it. Back again and again. Perfect and tasty all the way. Super nice staff. One flat to the perfect melody: updating chairs and tables could be good ;)
Fabulous as usual. Wine, food, taps and service impeccable.
A special place for a wonderful evening! Every different thing we tried was delicious, and everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. But not too friendly ;)
Best Spanish wine list in Boston. I have been going there for 20+ years. They have step up their game both food and wine wise. This was the best meal I have had.
It is by far; my favorite Spanish restaurant in the Boston area. The wine and sherry list are amazing! They have the best collection of Spanish wines and sherry !
Service and quality of food is wonderful! It is by far my favorite restaurant
We hadn't been to Taberna de Haro for several years and we're happy to return. It's an authentic Spanish restaurant with delicious food, a vast selection of wine, and a cozy atmosphere. We had a selection of tapas - shrimp, Moorish pork, saffron cod balls, a selection of cheeses, and asparagus. All great - especially the shrimp. The sangria is also quite good - not too sweet.
A lot of people were eating outside, so it was nice and quiet inside. I don't know if it's quiet when there are more people inside.
We're looking forward to going back!
Great place! We ordered batatas bravas, marinated pork, fried haddock (AMAZING), and eggplant (berengena, I would not order this again). Red sangria is just ok. Wonderful wine selection, excellent and knowledgeable wait staff. We were also greeted by the manager who offered to help us select a wine- a very nice touch. Quiet restaurant even though it's on a main street.
Always fantastic. Great food, wine, people and ambiance.
Excellent and authentic Tapas. Extensive Sherry and Spanish wines selection at reasonable prices
We have not been back since it expanded. It is a very comfortable environment, where the hostess and wait staff are very attentive. The drink menu is extensive and they have of the best reasonably priced share. The small plates are nice. Try their paella’s.
ate outdoors on a beautiful evening...so was quiet! Service excellent...quite charming waiter, paced nicely. All tapas and paella were excellent (except razor clam special, which was weird). Drinks also very good...sherry, primo gin and tonic and vermouth all top notch. Reliable and excellent.
The food was great! But there was a very loud hum of white noise in the main dining room that made it hard to hear the people across the table from us. As a result, everyone in the place had to talk loud, which made it even worse. The service was pretty good. However, our waitress had a way of barging in at the worst possible times, e.g., at the end of a story, during the punchline of a joke, etc. I always observed that the best waiters have a way of timing it for when there is a lull in the conversation or at least they step up to the table, but wait to speak until the guests look up and indicate that it's okay.
Again, the food was terrific and made it still worthy of recommending.
The restraint had not revived their shipment so many dishes we wanted were unavailable. Disappointing compared to one of our other visits
We were able to sit outside on the perfect evening. We ordered “tapas” style as their menu suggests and it was just so fun and filling. We got to try so many menu items and pair them with awesome wine, cocktails, and sherry. We even had this feisty bottle of a chilled red wine per the recommendation of our attentive and friendly server. We had so much fun sitting outside- we were even able to bring our dog!
The food was decadent, garlicky, savory, and sweet. It hit every note!
Although the wine list is only Spanish wines, we were able to find a few bottles that we loved and help introduce us to Spanish wines!
It was the 3rd trip back and it was wonderful !
Birthday. Family dinner. Delicious and delightful ambiance. We always make it our number one stop.
Not same restaurant anymore... food quality is different , whole fish disappeared along other popular dishes and prices went up significantly
They even charge u to bring oil with bread
Very authentic with impressive wine list
The wine, appetizers and ambiance were fabulous. We asked owner to order the appetizers and frogs legs were outstanding.
The grass fed steak came out completely raw but, when put back on the grill it didn’t take the tenders and overall wasn’t a great cut. Roasted chicken was superb as was squid ink risotto. The other entree we ordered was a grilled swordfish which came out raw. I was rather shocked. We sent it back but, it remained on our check.
I wanted to love my experience but, clearly there was an amateur in the kitchen prepping our grilled entrees. I would go back to try again because some things We ordered were incredible.
Our experience wasn't as I'd hoped. Our server was infrequent. The food was unimpressive; the patatas bravas tasted like it was made with Frank's Red Hot; the risotto with shrimp and monk fish had no flavor (so we added some patatas sauce- it helped a little). Lastly, the white sangria was, in fact, not a sangria. It was a bar drink, with no wine in it at all. A heads up grin the waiter would have been appreciated. We won't be going back.
They need to change the Sangria!!
Food a little too spicy
Why only. 2 beer choices and 20,000 sherry choices
No buzz compared to Barcelona right down the sy
Great food and great service
Was not as good as in the past. the menu seems a bit limited now. the fish we had
(swordfish) with grilled vegetables was okay but not stellar
