To speak of our dinner at TE as a once-in-a-lifetime experience is not exaggerating! My husband and I were treated with genuine courtesy and kindness. The food surpassed anything we had ever eaten before: every dish delicious and each dish complimenting the previous one! The wines were exquisite. The presentation of the dishes was extraordinary. It was an unforgettable evening, and—though expensive—worth it in every way!
The experience was amazing. The food was delicious. Everyone was very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise .
Amazing! Food was amazing. Service was wonderful. Decor was wonderful. Perfect.
Any amazing gastronomic experience
What a fabulous meal. Well worth their Forbes 5 star rating. The food and service were both top notch.
Excellent service, outstanding food. A great overall experience.
Amazing To die for.
I was intrigued by the location of this restaurant, in a medium-sized boutique hotel in a small town east of Lancaster, PA. Why would an AAA 5-diamond restaurant be located there? There is nothing else around. Having now dined there, I think it is one of those "build it and they will come" stories. The restaurant is very small, only 6 tables. The decor is what I would describe as rustic elegant Italian. The food was spectacular as you would hope for from an AAA 5-diamond restaurant. There were two tasting menus to choose from, a 5 course and a 9 course. We chose the 5 course, and even though the portions were small, there was plenty of food by the end. The dessert was spectacular, both in presentation and taste. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. Expect to spend $350 to $500 for two depending on which tasting course, wine pairing, etc. Expensive (no surprise for AAA 5-diamond), but it does not disappoint.
Wonderful staff and even more wonderful food. Can't wait to come back
Wonderful experience at Te' for our anniversary. We had the Prix Fixe menu with wine pairings - superb! Chef and staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. They even provided us with extra food and wine tastings. Small place, but what an experience. Will definitely be back for future special occasions! Highest recommendation for anyone looking for a fantastic, one of a kind meal!
All five courses were bland in taste. Wines were fine. However, having paid for the wine pairing @ $60 total cost per person, an additional charge of $16 each was added for a flat glass of a Charles de Fere Brut. We were never informed that this was in addition to the standard wine pairing charge. Not impressed! Cannot recommend this restaurant. Also, the listing on OpenTable was not up to date, listing different hours of operation and had reviews that were 10 years old for items no longer available. Last, the cancellation charge of $50 each with less than 24 hours to cancel seems punitive/threatening in nature.
Remarkable dining experience where nothing was missed. Unparalleled level of service, impeccable timing throughout the evening. Food was over the top with presentation and flavors. It is not inexpensive but it is worth it. The amount of preparation that goes into dining at TE is rarely experienced in all but the most exclusive of restaurants. Finding it in Lancaster county was a surprise.
The restaurant is very bland in appearance nevertheless comfortable, quiet in a small area. The service was wonderful from the greeter to Skip the maitre 'd to the staff Ethan, Holly and Brian however, the food process interrupted any opportunity to have a continuous conversation. The food was very exotic in description but anything but in reality. I found the food process was annoying- 1-2 items on a huge dish sprinkled with graffiti. Because it was multiple small dishes, you were never able to have a continuous conversation without interruption. I CAN'T SAY ANY OF THE COURSES WOWED ME. We had a duck dish that was terrible and found when we met another couple (we were only 3 couples dining on that evening) that they felt the same about that item and the meal in general. We loved the wine choices and the knowlegeable staff but not very impressed by the food and presentation. We found the dessert presentation aweful and very unappealing. I don't find throwing scattered fruit and chocolate on a rubber mat exciting, interesting or an attractive concept. We were never given the option of whether we even wanted dessert. We have dined at restaurants in New York that were highly rated and equally expensive and went home feeling pampered, satisfied and spoiled. I did not feel the same way at Te. We love the Inn at Leola and would retun hoever would not return to this restaurant.
I chose this restaurant, and hotel, as a place to take my wife, to pamper her, as a way to show my deep appreciation for her. TE' and the Inn at Leola Village did not dissapoint. We were highly impressed with the food and the service. For us, this was special experience; one that we'll remember.
The meal was beyond expectations. 5 star. Expensive but worth it. Expect 4 hours but time went quickly with the wine parings and chefs additional presentations. Make reservations early. TrueType one of the best restaurants in the East.
Amazing from start to finish. Magical experience for our 25th anniversary. The wine pairing with the 5 course tasting menu was unbelievable. The food was plated like works of art. The cheese trolley is a must. Wonderful accommodations for a gluten free guest. Carnival dessert was over the top and outstanding.
Staff was lovely, knowledgeable and professional.
We had a very special 20th anniversary celebration at Te. The service and food were amazing! Highly recommend for a special occasion!
Be prepared for an incredibly excecuted evening! Not one aspect of this dining experience is overlooked. One of my date and I’s best evenings out yet.
Michelin graded restaurant that lives up to the reputation. If you want fantastic food and absolute pampering, eat there. The 9 course wine paired menu was outstanding. The entire experience took over four hours. The dessert was truly amazing but a little much after so many preceding courses. Would pare that course down a bit. Will
Be back for next special occasion.
They try very, very hard to make it a very special meal and it was appreciated.
The Degustation (tasting) menu was well well thought out. There were 9 main courses and 3 additional amuse-bouche (little bites) between the courses. The Carnivale course was very good, but the description seemed extensive or over the top.
The good: The ambiance was really good. The food presentation was very good, overall. Wine pairings were also very good.
The only so/so: The menu descriptions are extremely limited, so it is hard to know what you are getting. Food preparation was good, but there were a few items that were challenging to eat (and even cut). The Cuttlefish was nearly impossible to cut, as the knives were not sharp enough. There was rendered pancetta with the wild boar that were like little stones (read: way overcooked). There were a few times where children could be heard making noise in the hallway that was separated by a heavy curtain.
The disappointment: The first impression with the sparkling wine introduced as you sat down, seems wonderful, but it is certainly not part of the pricing, and should probably be. Additionally, generally with a tasting menu at a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect that the service be included in the price. This is not the case. Finally, two of the staff repeatedly stated mascarpone incorrectly. It should never be pronounced "marscapone" ever.
I would consider going again for the Prix Fixe menu.
Overall I would give it a solid 8/10.
I think the restaurant is overrated. Everything was good but this restaurant is rated on a par with those in NYC and it's not even close.
Every dish is the best you have every tasted. It is culinary art! This restaurant is a wonderful experience. Well worth the price.
My husband and I celebrated a special birthday. We really enjoyed the white glove service and attention to details. Te is definitely a special occasion place but the food and wine are amazing. It's not just dinner, it's an experience. And totally worth it.
Wines were great but food was ok...presentation of food was superb... servers tried too hard & seemed fake and was very expensive.
From the time we entered until our check we felt like absolute royalty. Regal dining room; professional and attentive wait staff; with excellent food to boot. The intermezzo's were inventive and delicious as well as the main courses. We went for an anniversary and will certainly be back.
The food was very good- the service excellent. Holly was very knowledgable and very cordial.
My adult son (a foodie) and I had a cause for celebration, so we dined at Te. I was glad that we did: It was an outstanding meal. I ordered the 5 course meal (with wine pairings) and he had the 9 course. Our server apologized that our courses would not line up evenly, but I was prepared for that because I don't eat as much as he does. Actually, it felt like a continual feed, anyway, with all the courses that we ordered plus many "extra bites" that they served. Dairy products were omitted, as requested, from my son's servings, and that went well, too. We had a long, delightful dinner and left feeling quite satiated. We'll probably go back for our next extra special occasion.
Food is excellent - the desert is exceptional - the service is exceptional - the room was a bit too quiet. I would have liked music or something playing. It was hard to have an intimate conversation. But that is nit picking in an awesome meal
Amazing, Amazing, Amazing...beautiful AND delicious food. Nice to be able to have a price fixe menu with choices in every course and the added chef's surprises that came during the meal were also wonderful. Te and its staff make you feel very special!
Magical. Delicious. FILLING. Simply amazing. Was is expensive? Absolutely. Was it worth it? 100%. A simply great way to spend an anniversary.
I believe Te' is the best over all food experience you could possibly have! The food is great ! The service and experience is so very special!
We did not have dinner. We had a dining experience of a lifetime. The food was very well prepared, explained and presented. Wines were superb. Service was truly outstanding. The whole evening was elegant but not pretentious. Thanks to all.
Fantastic dining experience! The service was top notch and the wait staff was very knowledgeable. One of the best meals I've had. We chose the 5 course Prix fixe menu with wine pairings and grand cheese trolley. All told it was more like 11 courses as the chef sent out an amuse bouche and intermezzi between each course. I marked it down 1 star because my duck had some gristle issues. I would have expected an adjustment in my bill but that didn't occur.
Wonderful meal! So much food that we couldn't eat it all and loved having different options for each course. Our server, Holly, was attentive and very courteous. We hope to return for another dining experience at TE in the near future. Well worth the drive and the price.
Amazing dining experience. Bring your appetite and senses .. all will be satisfied at this special Resturant.
Went to Te for my 17th wedding anniversary. We had the 5 course menu with cheese and wine pairing added. It turned out to be an 11 course meal, and took 3 1/2 hours (which I didn't mind).
We were greeted and escorted to our table near the fireplace, offered a glass of champagne, and given our personalized menus. All of our servers were knowledgeable and very nice. We were definitely full by the end- the 5 courses listed, plus cheese, plus 4 little bites in between courses, and dessert was really 2 separate courses- that equals 11 different presentations to the table!!
Plus there was bread service- a waiter walking around with a basket of breads (focaccia was amazing). We indulged in the bread three times. After all that plus 8 drinks (5 with courses, 1 with cheese, champagne in beginning, and they gave non-alcoholic fancy juice before dessert course!) we were stuffed! Everything tasted and looked very good, not AMAZING, but very good.
The presentation and experience were so worth it though! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. We spent $500- including tip. They sent us home with the menus and 2 wrapped up biscotti. My only negative is they didn't mention our anniversary or do anything special, even though they call you a few days before to ask if you're celebrating anything. I thought they would write Happy Anniversary on the menu or on dessert. A few standouts for me were the scallop and pork belly, lobster risotto, and the cheese course!! You pick from a cart of around 16 cheeses from France and Italy. You choose 4 for each person and they are decent size chunks added to a plate with honey, nuts, crostini, dried fruit. It all tasted so good!! A lovely evening!!
My husband and I don't get many opportunities for alone time, so when we do we want it to be incredibly memorable. The ambiance, staff and especially food couldn't have been more exquisite. Every dish was the best we have ever had. Everything is fit for Royalty which you will feel like while there.
The food was amazing. It's definitely worthy of the official 4 star rating. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of extra dishes sent by the chef. We did not leave hungry at all. It's worth the money.
The setting and dining experience at Te' is definitely worth your while. We celebrated NYE with good food, great dining experience and listened to a Harp player which was exceptional. I would not recommend the wine pairing as I felt we would of done better ordering a bottle of wine instead.. portions were minimal...
