Had a great meal and service was first rate! The meal itself was very good but fell short of spectacular which is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I had the filet mingon and it was well prepared and tasted good. The sides were two spears of asparagus (good) and a few small potatoes that were a little undercooked and still slightly hard inside. Wasn't a big enough deal to complain but I'm sure they would have taken care of it if I had. My husband had the Chinook salmon which was perfectly prepared and served on a bed of lentils which was an interesting choice. Those also seems slightly undercooked but I don't eat lentils often so perhaps that is normal for them to be firm. He also ordered a side of mashed potatoes which we both shared and it was delicious! My husband had two of the best scratch margaritas of his life (Compliments to the bartender!) We passed on dessert as we were stuffed but they brought us a small piece of cake that said "Happy Anniversary" which was a very nice touch! All in all a very nice dinner!

Beautiful location and charming ambience. Service was slow on most recent occasion. Food overall was good however would not recommend the tenderloin burger as it had little flavor. Hard to beat this location on a beautiful day as you are overlooking Snoqualmie Falls!

We go for brunch at Salish Lodge every four to six weeks and this last time, the service was not great. Our waiter gave us our biscuits and asked us to open them and butter them and then left us waiting quite some time before he returned with the honey from heaven. Our guests got impatient and went ahead and ate half before the waiter return to finish the experience which they are known for. It was a bit disappointing overall this time but I will return for the food and hopefully the service will be better next time.

Ambianc was perfect- warm, quiet, lots of natural light, and the view of the falls was breathtaking. The coffee and all of the dressings that come with it are such a decadent treat to start with. Our server was genuine and welcoming. I don't eat Bread but I am SO glad I indulged in the biscuits served with butter & honey, hand poured at your request. My hubby had the smoked omelet and I had salmon hash. I ate the whole thing, couldn't pass up a bite.

We will be back soon! :)

Salish lodge is iconic in so many ways and I've never been disappointed. I notice these days that many fine dining establishments in the Northwest tend to rush you through your meal, but not so here. If anything they are almost too slow, but it's understandable because most diners are guests at the lodge and there's nothing much else to do but linger in the beautiful dining room overlooking the falls. My wife and I were seated at 7:15 but took over an hour for our meals to finally reach the table - and the dining room was not that busy. That said, the elk medallions and pear-almond soup with truffle oils was a sublime culinary experience. Will be back.

I honestly don't understand why Salish is so expensive?? I guess it's the view of the falls that we're paying for because it's definitely not the food. My husband and I visited here for his birthday dinner and it was subpar. My chicken was good, but salty. There was nothing spectacular about it. My husband ordered the scallops. These were delicious, soft, and succulent without the fishy smell that you often get from seafood. We ordered bread, they had three different types which would have probably tasted a lot better had they been warmed up. Drinks were OK, I ordered a strawberry margarita, which came out in a martini glass. It tasted more like vodka with strawberry pulp, again nothing amazing. Service was excellent until it started to get busy. After which it seemed like our waiter forgot about us. This place is just overpriced period.

I was expecting such a level of great cuisine that I have been slightly disappointed with my sole stuffed with crab which was not exceptional. Also the baby potatoes accompanying the meal were not the best choice. But the scallops of my friend were really good.
It was a very quiet evening, only a few tables booked, this is why the noise level was very low. Service was very good and friendly.

This was our first visit to The Dining Room, and we’ll definitely be back. We were celebrating a birthday and needed to bring our children along due to babysitter issues, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect.

Upon arriving, we were promptly greeted by the valet, as well as the hostesses. Within a few short minutes we were escorted to our table, which was rather an intimate, private dining room with great views of the falls, mountains, and sunset. It was also ideal for corralling our little ones. The space kept them close, gave them lots to focus on, and without sacrificing the experience for other diners nearby.

While the food was great, it was the experience that made our night. Our server, Amanda went above and beyond to help us celebrate the birthday and make our sons feel important at the table as well. She was patient, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. We appreciated being able to have a “grown up” meal with the little ones in tow. Thank you! We’ll be back for sure.

Food is very good and reasonably priced. I'd mentioned it was my girlfriends birthday at the time of the reservation. I thought they might do something nice for her, perhaps wish her a happy birthday or write something nice at her setting, but didn't. Not a big deal but would suggest not asking if it's not important to them. Overall, it is a nice setting with a beautiful view if you can catch a window seat. If you can't get a window seat there is always the photo op at the lookout.

The ambiance is very comfortable and cozy-lodgelike. We always ask for a table in front of the fireplace as it is too dark to enjoy the view. There are usually four of us but the settings in front of the fireplace are deuces. If we are lucky, the staff will reconfigure-on our latest dinner they did not. Service is very good and food is very well prepared. As to value, the meals are very expensive and you need to determine if the ambiance is worth the price. We usually splurge and eat there 4-5 times per year and would do so more often were the menu not so steep.

It was my first dining experience at the Salish Lodge, this time for lunch. The experience exceeded my expectations especially the delicious food and menu selection. There were only a few other tables occupied which made it more of a romantic intimate experience as we sat by the window overlooking the Falls. We plan to return for dinner soon!

I can't even count the number of time I've recommended The Dining Room to friends and family. Sadly, I don't think I can continue to recommend them. While the food and ingredients are excellent, on our past three visits we noticed a decline in service each time. From slow service to incorrect orders to disasters with our leftovers. The little details that used to impress and delight me are now what stand out as failures. Save your money and time and eat at the loft instead.

I haven't been up to Salish Lodge for awhile but I took my son (for his 27th birthday celebration) and my DIL to brunch this past Saturday. My DIL was very impressed by the place and was already dropping hints to my son about them staying there to celebrate their upcoming anniversary. We had a lovely, secluded booth with river views. The server was absolutely wonderful--attentive but not intrusive. Did the honey from heaven bit. The food was good and huge portion--no one could finish their selection. We didn't feel rushed nor neglected. They did apparently have an issue with their phone lines or something so CCs was handled manually--felt like the 1980s. Always a good place to take out of town guests.
