Inspired by the Chef's time spent throughout Switzerland, California, and New York City, the restaurant is rooted in the same traditions found at their critically-acclaimed, Michelin three-star rated Eleven Madison Park.
The restaurant has soaring interiors with a refined, yet approachable menu, featuring a thoughtfully-curated wine program celebrating the great wine regions of the world, alongside innovative and classically-focused cocktails.
What Insiders Are Saying
Is the Nomad still a big deal? It depends on how you do it.
Best Food, Restaurant I have ever had the privilege of dining at.
All was great except the server. She seemed to be having a bad day - I thought she was going to cry at a certain point. Better she took the day off than mope around the table.
The ambiance was perfect. Food and drink even more so, 6 stars if there were an option. Service impeccable.
The carbonara was a tad too oily from the bacon. It was also was far overpriced for what it was.
Great food and excellent service!!! A must for me whenever I come to NYC!!!!
Amazing experience as always! The food, service and ambiance is 5 star. And it is without a doubt the best duck I have ever eaten! And the salad was perfectly dressed and simply delicious. I am looking forward to coming back before the menu changes. :-).
The food was amazing, the service was genuinely warm and sincere. The space itself is very comfortable. I am far along in pregnancy and was able to have a good time - the chairs are comfortable, there are pillows, there are quiet spaces to relax. It was a great choice for a birthday dinner.
Always pleased with the food and service here
The best food experience I have ever had.
I love service and simple menu that they offer.
The Black Truffle snack was simply outstanding!
Thank you for a fantastic evening.
Love the setting at Nomad. Each room offers a different experience all the while enjoying great service and good food.
The service was outstanding. The edited wine selection was very good. The food was tasty and well seasoned with different flavors than usual. I had the duck breast (which had one long sinew the length of the piece which made it difficult to cut) and there was a duck leg confit which was very good. Again the favors were very well done. Dessert was acceptable but not outstanding.
Perfect experience and beautifully perfect dishes! Will definitely come again
The NoMad is everything you could want from a dining experience. My only criticism would be what they charge for a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue ($100). It shouldn’t be more than $60.
Daniel Humm’s classic American-European restaurant #NoMad is a total indulgence—and undoubtedly one for the books. The magnificent interior is a solid distraction from the hefty tabs.
Great lunch for business. Service and food was excellent! I had the halibut, which was wonderful, and two of my guests raved about the duck. Definitely a keeper!
Excellent every time. Service has deteriorated somewhat but they respond to good tips
Best meal I had in years! Service was impeccable and the staff paid attention to every detail.
Beautiful place, friendly and professional service.
Food was outstanding!
I love everything about dining with the Nomad -
Everything from start to finish was wonderful! The service exceeded all expectations and the food ... especially the CHICKEN was to die for! :)
Will definitely be going again!
Lads were on tour. Food is great but it’s really expensive.
Mostly fantastic but I will say, the meal was super salty/rich. The chicken was special but again, crazy rich. I enjoyed it but didn’t feel great afterwards.
It’s a beautiful setting for sure however my burger was on the cold side because it was served on a cold plate
fantastic!! wine and food were perfect. very romantic. amazing for a date!
The NoMad did not disappoint. The food was delicious but still accessible and interesting. Emma went above and beyond whilst serving us, even writing down recommendations for breakfast the following morning. It was a wonderful experience.
We loved The NoMad. The space is visually arresting and yet very comfortable and comforting. The food was outstanding. Each of our orders had its own unusual and thoughtful presentation and was truly delicious. Lovely!
Food was terrific especially the SunChokes.
Service was spotty with many different servers and lack of timeliness.
Hotel room- beautiful and clean. Spacious 1br with circular windows. Dining was below average, with food subpar. The service was good and understanding of our dissatisfaction with the food. Roasted chicken for two was disappointing and the cocktails were confusing. Ordered the coq tail which came in an overwhelmingly large metal rooster with two straws. It was very uncomfortable drinking out of and the drink was not even good. Very disappointing dining experience but the management was understanding and did not charge us for the chicken. The Library lounge/bar was fun!
The decor of the restaurant is simply beautiful. Everything from the chairs to the plates to the ceiling contributed to the upscale ambiance. The food was delicious and nicely plated. I highly recommend the milk and honey desserts. Overall a great experience and a pretty good value for your money as far as lunch goes.
Excellent service, interesting menu, reasonably sized portions (to too large), definitely a place to come back to. The decor is over the top, but they've pulled it off and it works.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time. After being seated for breakfast at 9:45 a.m., we ordered and were given coffee after about 10 minutes, then received no service whatsoever for 45 minutes...no water, no coffee, no food...I grabbed a waiter to complain and after about 10 minutes our very expensive breakfasts arrived, mine a perfectly ok $22 omelet with cold toast and no butter...no one offered to refill our coffee...it was impossible to enjoy the absurdly overpriced food after being treated with such disdain.
All of this was brought into sharp focus when our party of 3 had a great lunch a few hours later at Xian Famous Foods which cost a total of $25.
Food is great, portions are small (in the bar). Service was excellent!! Top notch!!
I tried their pretzel which was good but not an traditional pretzel. Had more of a bread like inside rather than a more chewy inside that I like. I also prefer dipping cheese rather than a shaved Parmesan type cheese.
Great cocktails 🍸!
Great every time!
Great place! Duck at lunch was just okay. I recommend the chicken truffle burger and the cobb salad, which were superb!
Loved the whole experience. Service, Food and atmosphere were all great.
Food was delicious, ambience fun, enjoyed the experience!
Always love the chicken
Gourmet. Flavors and textures that have been meticulously refined made for an excellent evening. Our sommelier was knowledgeable, our waiter was fast, and our check wasn’t too high. We left buzzed, full, and immensely satisfied.
They are known for their chicken, and in that respect they don’t disappoint. The chicken dish is delicious, but it is a $95 chicken dish. I would recommend this place for the chicken alone. The other stuff on the menu..seems a bit overpriced for what you get.
