   Such a nice experience in an elegant atmosphere, attentive service, delicious food, quiet atmosphere. Lamb chops for the four of us were prepared to perfection and so, so tender and juicy. Such a nice welcoming staff also.

   We had the best service here at breakfast of any restaurant at which we’ve dined this trip to New Orleans. Our server was delightful and made us feel like we were really in New Orleans. Our good was great too.

   I was hoping for various prime rib sizes. My husband got the $64 16oz size, that's too big for me, but the only option. That was disappointing since I live prime rib. Please bring back the smaller cuts. So i got the pork chop. Good but the side dish was a piece of bread with cheese melted on it. Really? I won't be back for awhile. Until they get a few things adjusted on their menu. And I think $64 for a 16 Oz steak is outrageous!

    Disappointing. Many items listed on the website menu were not available mid week. Seafood gumbo was missing the usual crab meat and the oysters were strong. The creamed spinach was served cold. My advice, don’t visit for mid week lunch. Friday’s are always wonderful.

    Have been many times for brunch and always enjoyed the experience. For dinner the menu was tired and the food average at best- not the quality I would expect from this restaurant. Too many good restaurants in New Orleans with unparalleled food and service experiences to waste time in just an OK restaurant I think the restaurant is living on it’s location and prior reputation but I don’t see a good reason to keep it on my list of places I want to dine in NOLA

    Was a favorite at one time, my wife treated me to a birthday dinner at The Rib Room. I was a bit disappointed in the food. Seating was prompt and cordial, and our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the 16 oz prime rib which when served was to my estimation a 10 oz portion at best, poorly marbled, my wife’s pork chop was grossly over cooked and charred. The wine was overpriced, five times the retail value. The dessert was underwhelming. I will not be returning. I have never submitted a poor food review but would be remiss if I didn’t weigh in on this restaurant. I will not be going back.

    Booked a reservation for a birthday dinner on 3/8 at 8 pm. We arrived on time but were not greeted by anyone for almost 15 minutes even though there were employees near by. Once we got to our table we waited another 10 minutes to put in our drink orders. An additional 15 minutes to put in appetizers that consisted of a cup of soup and the pork belly which again took w long time to hit the table. We waited about 30 minutes for our entrees to hit the table. Overall the service was one of the worst I had experienced in high was very disappointing. Part of the reason was we were seated in a room with a very large group that took up about 6 tables and it seemed we got overlooked. The food quality was good. Our visit ended up being over 2 hours due to the delays in the service.

    I've been going to the Rib Room periodically for many years. This visit was below par. They booked a party of 38 and a party of 14 at the same time. We were a party of two. Our server took our order, delivered the food and we never saw him again. We had to try to get the attention of other employees if we needed something. The prime rib, which is now way overpriced, unfortunately, was a bit tough and chewy and very fatty. It was very disappointing. They need to do better because they have a great facililty in an ideal location. Somebody needs to be managing the room.

    One of our favorite go-to restaurants in the French Quarter, but this visit was very disappointing. The service was slow--it took us 20 minutes to have the opportunity to order drinks. The turtle soup was just OK, but it had a "skin" on the surface which is usually indicative of sitting under a heat lamp. The burger was good and cooked perfectly, but the accompanying fries were not hot...again probably had been cooked earlier and sat under a heat lamp. The slow service can be forgiven when a restaurant is busy, but on this visit, the restaurant was less than half full.

    Valentines night dinner. Tables too close. Drinks took forever. No appetizers ordered. Told waitress we would be sharing the prime rib and ordered additional sides and a salad. Salad eventually came I immediately put my salad to the side of the table. Waitress came check told her we were fine..patiently waiting for our food. After continuing conversation over a hour passed and still no food. Stopped a manager that was at the front door to ask him to check on our food he walked back to the kitchen then came out and passed us up….eventually a kitchen manager came out apologized and said our food would be out shortly. He was very nice and seemed sincere.Got us another drink when the food came out the prime rib was tender but full of fat. We started talking to the people next to us which really made the situation light hearted. We got comped a glass of wine and 1 Long Island. Best Long Island ever. Loved the atmosphere,service good awful, prime full of fat, sides good!

    The food was sub-par. We got the French onion soup and prime rib. Lots of food but the prime rib was not that flavorful and cold. There was something up with our waiter. Either he is a little awkward normally or they were understaffed and he was really busy or he was rude. Hard to judge and want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

    We went for the jazz brunch and was seated quite far from the band. The restaurant had ample tables available. Also, my prime rib had a lump of inedible fat that made up about 25% of the piece. However, my server was wonderful and attentive.

    For the most part the meal was enjoyable. Biggest complaint is the porkchop entre. A porkchop, piece of bread with melted cheese and compote on porkchop. No side to mention, no break in taste. Had to order a side for additional cost. Very poor pairing and plating, especially in New Orleans. For the price, it left a lot to be desired.

    There were 5 of us , one got the fish, one got the chicken, one got the Lamb and two got the crown rib steak every dish was fabulous. The deserts were excellent. Definitely recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.

    Good and service were outstanding , as always. We come there fairly often. On this Sunday visit for 5:30 pm reservation. The hostess brought us to our table, a dark two top against a wall with no view. We were the only diners at the time. I requested a table with a window view…she said they well all reserved. We ate and really enjoyed our servers …..but none of the so called reserved table diners ever showed up…..very frustrating to be lied to by the hostess!!!

    We come often to the Rib Room . They need a new food menu. Server Renee is excellent she been there along time she knows the menu and is helpful. Allen the daytime restaurant manager is Great he also been there forever nice to everyone, helpful to regulars who come often . The night manager is new he is still learning how to work the room .!? The lady who seats you is not friendly, asked when made reservation a month ago to be seated at a window seat facing Royal Street. No one sitting at the window tables. She wouldn’t sit us at a table that was empty. Even though I said I requested a window table . I’ll wait awhile before I go back . Renee Great Service. Allen also great guy .

    The food was really good, service was not. We were seated for over 10 minutes before we were able to waved an employee down to get us a waiter so that we could order drinks. Later in the meal we had to wave someone down for water refills. Overall the food was delicious but, felt we had to “work” for everything. Not the service you would expect at such a nice place.
