    I was by myself on a business trip in NYC so I thought I would try this place. My server tried her best but the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night. My food was well seasoned however everything came out lukewarm at best even after sending back the salmon. I ate it because I was hungry. Two managers came over but didn't apologize or say anything constructive.

    As expected, the outdoor area was bustling with passing pedestrians, cyclists, etc but aside from the uncontrollable factors, the experience was great. Food was delicious as always, fast and friendly service, lots of space around the table as well. The seating area was full but did not feel packed.

    We traveled to New York to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. Dining at this restaurant was overall pleasant- nice server, good food and welcoming atmosphere. I will dine there again.

    The Smith was enjoyable. Our server was really nice and accommodating, however, he kinda took a while to do everything. We sat outside for brunch and it was great! No pitchers for mimosas or sangria. Overall, good experience!

    Went here for Sunday brunch at 11am. Not too crowded, it was nice to have outdoor seating. Food was delicious, loved the huevos rancheros and the churro waffles.

    our lovely brunch cost same as the local diner, which we couldn't believe. daughter declared her iced latte the best she has ever had, omelettes, apple smoked bacon, mimosa, all delicious with lovely attentive wait staff.

    Very busy, but popular spot. I had the Omlette under the Brunch section of the menu. It was alright but I have definitely had better eggs before. I also had a Mezcal Margarita which tasted great. The Waitress was very nice but not as attentive as I would have liked. I'd probably come back again but at a different time as I came to this place on a Saturday. It's also very hard to park around the area.

    Our food and wine were excellent. I absolutely loved the barley risotto in the scampi dish. We did have to wait a long time to place our order, then another long wait to get our drinks and food, and then again another long wait for the check. We were also seated outside and it was chilly, it would have been nice to have some kind of heater situation. All in all we had a nice dinner.

    Extremely loud. Not for business meetings. Food was mid and the service was terrible. The Smith is simply a place to find food for big groups when you didn’t reserve a good place on time

    I enjoyed my second ever breakfast meeting here. The food is very good and while the menu is not very large, it is well considered and there are many reasonable selections. It can accommodate groups with varied dietary requirements. I enjoy it here and likely will come again.

    The Smith Midtown provides its patrons with a wide variety of menu selections. Regardless of how limited your food interests are, you will find something good.     It was ok. We love the Smith and live close to the 2nd ave location. we sat inside on the far right and there were 2 AC vents above us. the vents kept dripping and my husband had to change his seat. then it started dripping on me and I really had nowhere to move because all the seats were taken. we told the waiter but nothing was done about it. food was really good though, as always. oh well, hope they can look into it. not fun to eat with drips falling onto you.

    Our first trip to The Smith for weekend brunch. The menu has a good variety - everything our party of 4 ordered (all from the breakfast section) was delicious. It was a busy morning but they were ready for us when we arrived. Tables (inside) were close together and it was loud inside. Service was friendly and attentive - we had one incident with a busboy and the staff handled it professionally. We would return.

    This restaurant is EXTREMELY noisy. The acoustics are abominable. You can’t hear your dinner partner speaking. Our service was not good either. Overall I wouldn’t go back.

    Food was delicious. Waiter’s service was very good. Reception experience wasn’t great. Hosts seemed confused upon arrival even though we had reservations. Noise level on a Thursday evening was loud…hard to hear conversation at table, at times. Know this going in so you’re not surprised. Overall though, a good meal in a pleasing setting.

    It was so noisy I had a sore throat when I left. You could not talk you had to yell. Food was good. The best part was our waitress, she was excellent.

    We sat outside which was lovely. The staff went above and beyond. We were celebrating and they joined in with the celebration and sent over an appetizer and cookies. It was super sweet and wonderful service. Food is delicious as always. Thank you to the Smith!
