The Table at Season To Taste
Please note, specific tables may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Reservations highly recommended. Prompt arrivals requested, as we cannot guarantee seating when diners are delayed by more than 15 minutes. Private parties can also be arranged upon request. We recommend booking these at least three months in advance.
Delicious meal on 1/9/2019. Two of us ordered everything on the tasting menu (4 courses with 2 choices for each). Best dishes were the pastas - I had a tortellini in broth with oxtail and my son had a ravioli with celery root and sea urchin. Both were delicious and the pastas were cooked perfectly.
My husband and I had a lovely time at The Table at Season to Taste. The four-course tasting menu is very filling and reasonably priced, especially since service is included. We also highly recommend the wine pairing. Though it's not the most interesting or delectable tasting menu in Boston (see O ya for that), the food is very good and the atmosphere and service make the experience top notch.
we’ve been coming to the table since it opened, and we generally love the food, service, and overall experience. i guess what i’ve noticed lately is that the prices are higher and in the case of most of the wine list, the prices are rapacious: a can of una lou rosé, for example, sells for about $10 a can (two servings). the table will charge you $34 for that. we get it that the markup on drinks is about double; but that’s more than triple! it’s just too much as compared to other offerings in the table’s dining space. we’d still recommend it for special occasions, no question! the food is amazing (portions aren’t too big), and the service is brilliant. the table gets the atmosphere just right too; so it’s great for a date when you want to chat without raising your voice.
My two guests and I all agreed that this was by far one of the best dining experiences, from start to finish, that we have had in the Boston area in a really long time. I HIGHLY recommend The Table at Season to Taste.
I had wanted to try The Table at Season to Taste for a few months and made a reservation about 2 months out. It was well worth the wait! While they "advertise" a fixed, four course menu, there were several bonus foods served throughout the meal: house-made brioche bread, cured venison, and sorbet. And, the courses were not 2-3 bite dishes, but more 5-6 bite dishes. You will NOT leave there hungry! (Bonus: our parting gift was a house-made granola bar which was fantastic for breakfast the following morning!)
Girlfriend and I have been dying to go here but couldn't find time because of her schedule. Finally made a reservation and made it work. Arrival was great, hostesses greeted us at the door immediately and were very friendly. My girlfriend is vegetarian so we asked for a vegetarian menu and were able to get one. She said her meal was great, and the vegetarian choices were well thought out and not just an afterthought of "oh we need to have meatless meals" like some places.
We had a few drinks too, I had a local cider which I felt like paired well with the menu that night. Their wine list was large and a few of the waiters are sommeliers so all the wines we tried matched really well with the meals as well.
Dessert was great, two options that night so we each got one and shared.
As always thanks Jesse for taking care of us . Table staff was awesome . Congratulations to chef Carl hope everything is well. See you guys in a few
Delicious and creative food wine pairings were a little off but good wine.
Got a gift card for this and took my girlfriend for a nice night out. Would recommend for a date. Very tasty and the vegetarian menu was amazing.
We absolutely love visiting the table. The food and staff are consistently phenomenal.
Everything was fantastic!
Our go-to restaurant in Boston for any special occasion or if we want to make sure one-time visitors from overseas are guaranteed a memorable and excellent meal. This last visit was for a birthday dinner and the food was exceptional, our waitress was very engaging and knew the menu and wine list at as high a standard as some of the really fancy places we’ve been to that costs 4 times as much and the food at Table still wins hands down. Each dish was delicious, adventurous, perfectly executed, but most importantly, very well balanced. We loved that the gratuity is included in the bill which shows the respect and care management has for their employees (and this is reflected in the exceptional attitude in service), we would’ve loved to leave even more tip for the exceptional service! Thank you again for the wonderful dining experience!
Chef Dooley and his team knocked it out of the park. Even dining alone, Chef Dooley was very personable. Couldn’t have been happier to eat here!
As much as it pains me to say this, we were disappointed by our experience here. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, and the service was excellent. But, for the price point, we were expecting a little bit more. The food was good, but the flavors were too delicate. It just felt like there was something that was missing. I wasn't expecting to get hit in the mouth with flavor, but it just felt one dimensional. The one exception was the butternut squash tortellini. That was our favorite dish. And not that I wouldn't eat that meal any day of the week, but for what we had, like I said, the price point was a little high.
Why doesn’t this place have a Michelin star yet?
Amazing as always.
Amazing little gem in North Cambridge. Great food, great people, great time.
Excellent pace to the meal. Server was helpful and vapored in with courses and wine pairings. The room allowed for an uninterrupted conversation and delightful experience. Back soon.
We love the restaurant and this is our fourth time dining at The Table.
Both of us felt that the meal was not as outstanding as our previous dining experiences.
We also noticed a large price increase so we would most likely only return for special occasions.
The perfect place for a special meal.
Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Boston area. We return almost every month, despite the difficulty of getting a reservation nowadays. Excellent wine pairings. Fantastic, creative yet balanced dishes, with even better company!
We had an amazing experience! Great food! Personalized attention!!!
What a delight - unpreposesing outside but once you are in it is cosy and has a lovely ambiance. Food is spectacular delivered in a timely manner by friendly hosts.
Wonderful place. Our favorite resturant in Boston area now.
Carl out does himself everytime. We enjoy it each and everytime we dine there.
The food was excellent and the staff was lovely--and super accommodating for someone with celiac. The standout of the meal though was the wine pairings, they hit it out of the park! It's certainly not the cheapest place to dine out, but it was completely worth it for the experience. Can't wait to go back!
This may be the best meal I’ve ever had. It was so delicious. We sat at the chef’s counter and the staff was lovely. The food was meticulously prepared and every single thing was out of this world. I’ve never been so obsessed with every course the way I was here. We did the wine pairing and the whole meal was perfect and absolutely worth the price. Go. Just go.
Wonderful restaurant tucked away on Mass Ave. Fantastic food over 4 courses with a vegetarian option for each course. All the options were great (as we got opposite ones from each other). Highly recommended. Hope this place never, ever closes! It's not cheap - but it's worth every penny. A Paris type Bistro right in Cambridge.
We had an excellent dinner last night! The food was great, courses weren't rushed, and everyone working there was very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary.
The service was excellent and attentive, without being disruptive. One of the dishes (congee) was very highly spiced (red peppery), so much so that it overpowered the dish. It would have been useful if the server had let us know, in advance, about the 'heat' in the dish. Other than that, each dish was nicely flavored.
I love this place - I have been there 3 times! This time, the food was not quite as consistently great as it has been the previous two times, There were some wonderful things - the tasting turnip pear soup I thought was pretty remarkable, but I wasn't crazy about the Octopus entree - it just lacked cohesion, somehow.
All in all, this is a great place and well worth exploring.
We absolutely loved The Table at Seasons To Taste! The food is delicious, the service is exceptional, and it just a fun and unique dining experience! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Beautiful food with beautiful staff:). Tasting menu with some choice. Food always blows me away.
The wait staff here went above and beyond, taking our coats when we arrived. They also had some great recommendations for us for other foodie destinations in Maine for our honeymoon.
I had a fantastic night at the Table at Season To Taste! Amazing service, fabulous taste, and superb wine pairing! It’s one of the best meals I ever had!
There is an interesting vibe when you walk in the door of this unassuming gem. We were fortunate enough to get a set at the kitchen counter, and Chef Carl and his team were happy to engage in conversation while working to get the orders out. The menu is limited to two choices per course, but the team is willing to accommodate dietary changes (like vegan and vegetarian meals). The team of three chefs danced and performed flawlessly in a tight space, plating out beautiful courses. Chef Carl uses an intriguing mix of local ingredients, European flair, with some Asian touches. Every course sang with wit, whimsy, and outstanding flavor. We're looking to visit next time we're in Boston.
Always an amazing meal and the best service anywhere!!!
As always, the team at The Table delivers a great experience. The food and wine pairings are always fantastic. We have visited 6 times and never been disappointed.
Without question, the best restaurant in Boston. I eat the best food that I eat here.
Outstanding! Uniquely constructed and subtly flavored dishes, good variety, good amount, attentive but unobtrusive servce. Pricey but worth it.
