We always enjoy our experience at Toscano! What a great place!
Asked for the table by the window and was pleasantly surprised that they had saved it for us! The waiter was great and the tomato caprese delicious
Always a great Restaurant Week menu and there's no skimping of this well prepared food
Great service, a little slow to start. Food was good.
First of all, service was okay. Food was mediocre. I ordered the Pollo Toscano for entree. I barely had two bites of it. Chicken was over cooked, sauce was bland, and the mushrooms were also flavorless. When finally the dessert came, tiramisu was served oddly in one of those ice cream bowls, which was unique but it's more like some alcoholic cake had a car accident with chocolate cream/mousse and got smashed in. There were no identifiable layers, just a smash. Not my kind of tiramisu. Not amazing at all. I left two stars for the delicious Polpettini Fiorentina (veal/beef/pork) meatballs but that's about it! Would not come back!
4 of us decided on a sit-down dinner at well-rated restaurant over adjacent bar/hole-in-the-wally places. We ordered the 3 course pre-fix menus during restaurant week. The service was decent but the food was very bad. One of us got the risotto, two ordered the chicken parmesan and I got the veal scallopini. None of the primi and secondi items had any taste or flavor to them. The veal tasted very bland and potatoes were undercooked. The chicken and the parmesan crust fell apart in no time, and the marinara overpowered everything! The disappointment level was particularly high considering we paid 55$/person including a glass of wine. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Had it been one item, I would give it a second shot, but we sampled 3 items between the 4 of us, and they were all deplorable.
Sat at the Bar. Mark was attentive and lovely
My roasted salmon was excellent, however the Tucson Soup was barely warm.
And the dessert was only ok.
Incredible food, delicious, fresh, fantastic presentation. 6 of us at our table, every single one of us were pleased with our evening, starting with drinks, fresh bread on our table, first course, second course, and lovely dessert. Excellent service from the bar to our table. Looking forward to returning soon.
Always a great place for dinner— one of my favorites!! Went there for Boston Restaurant week. Excellent menu! We were the last to leave that evening and never felt rushed.
Everything was perfect! Went to Toscano for Dine Out week and was not disappointed! The food was flavorful and delicious, the waitstaff was lovely and attentive and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner with a loved one. I will certainly be returning!
This is a great restaurant. Just not during Restaurant Week. The foood was good but not up to 5heir usual standards. We. Will go there again but not during Restaurant Week
Always fun with excellent staff. Roberto did such a nice job for us! Great selection and specials.
This was a very awkward dining experience. About half a dozens waiters just stared at us while we were eating. It was very uncomfortable.
The food was not very flavorful and we felt rushed the entire time we were there. I would not return
This has always been a favorite of ours in the city and continues to be one of our ideal date night spots with a great atmosphere, wine list and menu. The Salciccia Pizza might be one of my favorite pizzas of all time, and love that they always feature delicious specials which adds excitement and variety to each visit.
One of my favorites in Boston. It is a perfect setting for both personal and professional events. Food, service, venue- all outstanding. Biggest drawback - getting a reservation at this very popular restaurant!
Pizza wasn't bad but nothing special. Excellent service.
Fantastic service and food. Very friendly people.
Just a great night with great dining, atmosphere, staff and price
Toscano never disappoints! Always savory options and high end caring service. Thank You once again for a delightful evening.
Toscano is always reliable as offering a pleasant night out in Beacon Hill. The menu provides plenty of choice and the service is impeccable.
Toscano is one of our favorites. It's no wonder it's one of the tougher tables to get in Boston!
Stunning, although the larger room on the right inside of the restaurant is better, quieter, more classy, with more room to it. Highly Recommended.
Wonderful food & excellent service.
Everything was amazing. The decor is stunning and the food was UNREAL. Our server was Nicki and she was so sweet and really make our experience enjoyable. Excellent service and food. GO THERE WEEEE
Great Italian food. The specials are amazing! Their filet special with truffle sauce was to die for. Great waitors that always provide great recommendations too.
This place not only has great food and service, it is without a doubt one of the best values in Boston.
The food is amazing and the restaurant is very pretty. It’s quite expensive but worth it
We wanted a quiet, good neighbourhood Italian and this one seemed to be ideal. No tables available until 9 pm so we were a bit surprised to arrive to find plenty of tables free. Bread was excellent. The rest of the food was fine - not outstanding. My ‘special’ mushroom starter was just sliced up mushrooms on some frankly not good enough green salad leaves with no dressing whatsoever. I think they just made it up to get rid of excess mushrooms! My husbands mussels were fine.
We both had pasta for our main course. Ravioli was rolled a bit too thick - mine are much silkier and finer than that and I’m not even Italian!! My husbands Bolognese was good. Authentic and well cooked. Again, the pasta a little too thick.
All in all it’s a friendly place for some good but not outstanding Italian food. Music was very loud and not very relaxing listening to eighties hits but I’m sure if we had asked they would have changed it. Wine was excellent - they have a good selection and the one we chose was much better than I was expecting it to be - good value.
Service was very charming and attentive - excellent.
Our 5th time back and wonderful as usual. Don't make up your mind until you've heard the specials.
Meals were excellent. Waitstaff was excellent. Great restaurant!
Really wanted to love Toscano’s in Beacon Hill, but it fell short of our expectations. Our server was very attentive, and the ambience is romantic. We were disappointed in the beet salad. It had sliced beets atop a bit of arugula and a very small amount of cheese. Sadly, the rest of our food was fair at best. The pizza was bland, and the clams in the linguini vongole dish were chewy and a bit sandy, so I could not eat them. To be fair, the linguini was cooked perfectly and was very good. The blueberry tart was excellent. If we ever go back, it would probably be for drinks and dessert!
Food always reliable and great service
Phenomenal experience from start to finish. Our waiter (Peter) was attentive and very nice. The food was outstanding and an amazing value. Would go back again many more times.
Celebrated my friends birthday on Saturday evening. Food was outstanding, service great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely go back again.
The waiter was very good and patient with my group of 7, one of whom came much later, after the drinks ordered. He was kind and did not make anyone uncomfortable. There were a couple errors with our dessert order which were quickly corrected and they left an extra complimentary tiramisu. Or I assume comped; I didn't pay too much attention to the bill. I was taking my department out for lunch and am glad that I chose such a good place that everyone could enjoy.
Best Restaurant in town ....great food, service and atmosphere!
