We had a really enjoyable Mother's Day dinner -- food was really good, service was a bit sub-par relative to the prices but a real nice experience nonetheless.
We went on Mom's Day! The parking lot was full. We expected crazy chaos to insue inside, didn't happen. It was delightful. Well lit, open friendly, nice. Our servers were attentive (but not obnoxiously so) The food was excellent. We were 5 and had 4 different dishes. I had a fresca salad, yum. My husband and son each decided on lamb chops, amazing, with perfect broccoli-rabe ! Mom and dad (90yrs) each finished their plates, of salmon and scallops respectively. Then we each grabbed a spoon and tasted the 3 scoop gelato! What a finish. Would highly recommend.
Second visit. Food and service was quite good. Would return.
It was my first time, and it will definetely go there again!
Everything was great but menu is a little limited and expensive
Aside from the amazing food, Trento really knows how to make your night out a
memorable one. As always, thank you
Have been to Trento several times and will be back again. My three children and their spouses have eaten there often as well, so there is plenty of experience, both personal and vicarious, to go around. My wife and I love the Troffolino as an appy to start and we can never get enough. She likes the scallops with risotto and I the grilled chicken with delicious light and moist risotto. On previous occasions we have enjoyed the the veal chop and pasta bolognese. The menu is limited but the preparation is so excellent that such a quibble seems insignificant. However, perhaps best of all is the service which is great, especially if Sharon is your waitress. Do yourself a favor and ask for her, especially if Trneto is a first time experience.
Was really excited to see what they did with the space that was formally a weekend hotspot. Excellent job. Beautiful interior and comfortable seating along with a sleek bar. Our cocktails were stirred and poured at the table, nice touch! Food was delicious and service was spot on. Will be back!
The bar and dining room service were EXCELLENT!!! Bartender and waitress were very friendly and attentive. Food was very good as well. Served timely and hot! Host staff is terrible. They forget about you and seat people randomly. Had a reservation through open table and waited over an hour to be seated after they needed to be reminded. We were told there were "no tables" which was not true. If u go, keep checking with host or you will be forgotten. Didn't mind since bar service was great Overall, great restaurant.
This is our second time dining here and once again, we had a great time. The food was very good and courses were served in a timely manner. The server was professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was great. A very good dining experience and we'll be coming back for sure.
Trento was great for my husband and I to go on a date night. We had the dishes that everyone recommends - Kobe meatball, truffolini and pork chops and they did not disappoint.
Excellent food and service. Consistently GREAT!!! Our server Carmela is AMAZING!!!
Took out two business assoicates clean friendly staff food was enjoyable not too noisy
Three of us enjoyed a delicious dinner last night and it happened to be Restaurant Week. We decided to try a few different items from their varied Restaurant Week menu and share. We loved the mussels, bolognese and meatballs! Our entrees were great as well. Service was great, our water glasses and wine glasses were filled throughout the evening without asking. At the end of our meal we were visited by Tony Colombo himself. He wanted to know how we liked our dinner and informed us that he has only been open 5 days! We had no idea, it was a very enjoyable experience! I will definitely be going back.
Modern restaurant with plenty of seats and great ambiance. Professional/friendly wait staff. Perfect menu with a nice selection of specials. Salads were delightful, tasty and very fresh - the dressing delicious (home made balsamic vinaigrette). Italian Wedding soup was next - pair it up with some Parmesan and it's great! The purses of pasta filled with cheese and pare in an Alfredo type sauce was out of this world - this is a definite, different must try. The Ahi Tuna encrusted in pecans was very flavorful and fresh, the Swordfish with olives...a hearty, fresh piece of fish with an olive/lemon kick. Desserts were home made and delicious. We cannot wait to dine here again!
I've been to Trento on several occasions and it's always been a great experience. The food and service are excellent. My favorite is the kobe beef meatball but you have to share with at least 2 other people. I highly recommend Trento. You will not be disappointed.
we came there to celebrate our anniversary, wine that we chose thought would be a nice choice, when the waiter came over to present the wine, my husband and I both mouths dropped... twist top really... for a place like that, I wouldn't stock twist tops... the bottle was a 34.00 bottle I know your saying .. chose another, put the prices were pricey, just wanted to let you know the food was very good, but the wine came home with us and use it for a cooking wine...
I took my friend out for a belateed birthday and she was so impressed with my surprise. She was happy, overjoyed, and felt as special as she wanted to feel. The waiter was great and the service was on point. I plan to come back with her and her parents soon. Sometimes you just have to think out of the box to find out what means perfect evening.
Trento is a very nice and fairly new addition to the 110 corridor. I have now been there a few times for lunch and dinner. The food is good and the drinks are nice but the place is a bit pricey. Prices of $36++ for a piece of Sea Bass, or scallops, or a pasta dish are a bit $$ for an a la cart item. Dinner for 4 with a few cocktails was almost $300 before gratuity. I don't mind spending this kind of money, but the pricing doesn't match the atmosphere or the level of service for this place. I will say the food is nice, but for a $300 dinner I am going elsewhere, (or just about anywhere) on Long Island.
I can't say enough about how thrilled I am with Trento. Tom (the chef) makes you feel as if he's there just to make your meal.
They pair old favorites with new creative gems leaving you a debating what to have this time.
My solution is to just keep going back
We dined with our adult children as a birthday dinner. The dishes were large, inventive and delicious. We shared mostly everything,; the dishes are large. When our veal chop with mushroom was too spicy, it was taken back and a new one brought out almost immediately. The waitress, Sharon, was excellent, very professional, friendly and attentive. She clearly enjoys her job and makes the customers feel good.
Food choices adequate. Food exceptional; great flavor without heavy sauces or salt.
My whole entire dining experience was amazing. The service, decor and the food & drinks were all excellent. A must try! You will not be disappointed!
Great food, nice atmosphere but a little pricey for lunch, will definitely return but most likely return for dinner. Good for business groups
Never disappoints food and service always good. Love that we know the chef now who personally visits table to table! Highly recommend although a bit pricey worth every penny. Unfortunately our waitress got annoyed that she was interrupted by Tom and scurried off in a huff and refused to wait our table. We were given another waiter who was fabulous!
I took my bestie there for his birthday and the food was excellent.. I reccommend the Kobe beef meatball its big enough and filling to have as a meal .. I had the steak which was tender and delicious I didn't even ask for A1 sauce... I am definetly going back.....
OOOhhhhh and the chef came out with the Kobe meatball and was telling this interesting story.. Overall GREAT TIMES HAD...
This was my first time at Trento and was everything people said it would be. There is a nice long bar area if you want to come for cocktails and small but well done seating area. The food was very good. More retro-italian style. A must have is the Kobe meatball as one of your starters. Will definitely go back.
It was our first time at Trento We were there for a work lunch. The place was clean and nicely laid out. Our wait staff were very friendly and responsive tho we did get take home bags and waited too long to have to ask for the check. The food was great for all three of us except maybe you should inform the patron that the sides are huge. My chilean sea bass was too buttery or oily it seemed like it was cooked in too much butter or oil so the outside was too soaked and heavy but the inside was very good. The potatos and spinach were loved by all - very good. It was a great place and wud definitely reccommend it
This was my second time dining at Trento. Both times have been perfect. The food is amazing and our server Nicolette was even better. What a great dining experience. It is slightly on the pricy side as far as Long Island Restaurants go (most entrees priced in teh $30-$40 range), but well worth it.
large portions, limited menu options. Food with nicely presented and quite good but very pricey for a restaurant in an out of the way location
The food was very good, however, the prices are on the higher end for LI (the Legend should $$, not $$). We don't mind the higher prices, but there is a level of expectation of service and consistency and availability of offerings at this level that Trento did not meet. I selected the Polpo appetizer, "all out"; so I selected the Mussels Rockefeller instead, ""ran out of that too". This is a 7:45 reservation in the heart of the evening for "menu" items, not even specials. We were drinking wine and beer, but one person in our party requested a water refill during the entrée which never came until a second request during dessert delivery. Dessert, 2-3 items on menu not available.
Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a salad that was enough for two. Calamari was typical. Great martinis! I did have the best linguine and clam sauce I have ever had. It had homemade pasta and was so flavorful I had to stop eating it. The portion was generous. Bar was busy but not overcrowded.
This upscale restaurant is a welcome addition to the 110 corridor. The menu offered several pasta dishes but also had a nice selection of traditional steak, chicken, veal and fish dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious, the mussels in a fra diavlo sauce was awesome. They have bar seating, an energetic main dining room and then a second dining room that's a bit quieter and more conducive to conversation. They also have some patio seating in season. Later in the evening I believe the bar scene really comes alive.
A celebration dinner was very tasty!
We went a little before our reservation and had a drink by the bar. A little pricy but nice roomy bar space. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. Overall a good place. We will be back.
Our second time at this restaurant. Portions have gotten smaller. A bit pricy considering you need to order sides separately. But food is excellend.
Trento is new to the area having just opened within the last few months. We gave it a try on a Friday night and found it to be overall good and we plan to return. The food was quite good. We had two pasta dishes. The atmosphere is better than the website shows. I suggested to the hostess they change the pictures on the website as the poor lighting in the photographs make it look like a diner. In person it is much better. Crowd was mixed on all levels from age to dress. If they want to move/stay upmarket and match the prices try and drive to a better clientele.
This was my second trip to Tento. both times for lunch. Greeted by a friendly hostess, we laughed about the wait time for a table (there was none it was an 11:45 lunch). Wait staff a little slow above the shoulders, but its just the way of the world. Had soup and a panini, both were better then your average bear! I would definitely return, and recommend.
This was the first time I was at Trento's. The ambiance was very nice and the service was friendly. We ordered the shrimp Limoncello for an appetizer and a salad. Three shrimp came on a plate and it did not taste like any Limoncello was used to cook with and it was $15. The salad was about $13 and was good, but I have certainly had better. I had the linguini tono and the linguine was more like thin noodles and were overcooked. The flavor was good, as it was made with capers, olives and grape tomatoes. It is a pricey restaurant with good atmosphere and service, but the food could be better.
Didn't have enough menus, food cold, bread plates dirty, forgot fries, didn't know whose food was whose, all meals delivered 1 at a time,1 of 6 meals came 20 minutes later. One entree Complementary .
