Seated promptly when we arrived and service continued to be attentive but not intrusive. Food arrived soon after appetizers and was prepared as requested and was quite delicious. Both my with and I had Shangzou preparation of fresh fish, one walleye and other sea bass. Both were excellent. The spinach and sticky rice complemented the fish perfectly. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and the waitress offered a hefty discount on a dessert of our choice. She chose the key lime pie which we shared and enjoyed. Overall a very delightful experience.

Everything was good except for the steak. It was entirely undercooked so I had to send it back. It came back burnt tasting and was full of fat. It was the most expensive thing we ordered and was nearly inedible.

Five year anniversary of our first date was the occasion. Mertens Prime always accommodates our request to sit in the same booth we sat in 5 years ago. The wide variety of cocktails are delicious.
