“Cibo” is so convenient when we go to the Orpheum Theatre, as when we went for an early dinner before the opera! It was quiet with great service. We enjoyed a great wine from the list & the Opera set menu option which is a great deal! Definitely recommend this restaurant. My only observation- the butternut squash ravioli are so good, I was sad not to see it on menu this time but so many wonderful alternate options. More

Beautiful food and wonderful service. We just about ordered everything off the board and were delighted with each dish: from the kale and fennel salad to squid ink ravioli to the pork steak. While perfectly fine to order a dish for yourself, this is best experienced when you share plates. More

We had a fabulous meal here on 17th June. The food was delicious and elegantly presented and the service was attentive , friendly and not overbearing. The dining room decor is calmly restrained but with a magnificent view of the harbour. We would definitely recommend the restaurant to visitors to Vancouver. More

A truly wonderful way for us to experience our last night in Vancouver. Our server, Melissa, was incredibly patient explaining the menu and assisting us with our choices. The oysters were the best I've tasted in a long time. For dinner we had several sushi rolls and I had the char, which was delicious. Dinner was nicely paced and all the dishes hit dishes came out hot. A definite must go to restaurant if you're in Vancouver. More

Sopra SottoSopra Sotto
Italian | Commercial Drive, Vancouver

So, you can’t cook like Nonna? We’ve got you covered. Like his ancestors, Chef Enrico feels that food should be simple and made “farmer style,” with fresh, seasonal ingredients. All of our menu items are prepared with care in the traditional Italian fashion. Sauces are simmered for hours allowing for a true emersion of flavours. Similarly, our pizza dough is prepared in advance and allowed two days to rise — this grants that the yeast will complete its full growth cycle, creating a lighter meal. As Italian cuisine is so diverse, seasonal changes will be made to our menu; be sure to keep an eye out for new items, as well as old favourites. As is at home, our food is best enjoyed when shared family style, like the typical Italian dinner table.More
