The space was tight though ambience is cozy. We ordered a seafood platter and a couple of glasses of wine. The seafood was ok, not spectacular, only have 2 scallops and 2 prawns plus 2 deep fried crab cakes and deep fried calamari. The plate was $48. A glass of Pinot Grigio was $14.95.

The table across from us was so loud The waitresses were speaking a foreign language around us … very rude There was a large group behind us …. No door and they were loud My lasagna was horrible!!!! There was a German sausage on top of it …. Nothing Italian about it! My partners meal he understood to be only cheese ravioli. The waitress stumbled when explaining the ravioli and made it sound like the mixed seafood was another dish Very disappointing meal and evening

The service felt rushed and food was less that average. Only one waitres and as she said, make your mind quick because "I'm very bussy right now". We wait for long time and then, the pasta in a wheel cheese was done in seconds like they need to get done with it and move on. I could keep talking about the experience, but let's just say that there are better italian restaurants in town.

Overall I think it was a good experience. Food was good but asparagus was too fat and woody and salmon was a bit overdone but overall decent. Service was professional. Would definitely go again

While the food was good, it wasn’t fantastic. For the price it should have been fantastic. I had the halibut, the fish was good, but the potato pave was very dry and lacking flavour. My husband had the surf and turf special which he said was good but vey over priced for what you get. The scallops were tenor tiny, the lobster tail was over cooked and the ribeye was about as thin a steak as you can get. Also the steak had no seasoning but the sauce it was served with saved it.Again we thought for what we got the pricing was over the top.

Fantastic venue, amazing service with some absolutely fantastic food. Maybe a bit expensive, but I see the worth in every dollar they charge! The atmosphere was amazing, with calming ambient music to fill the air. Could get a bit loud with all the customers but overall would recommend to anyone looking for a date or special occasion for dining. Would love to come back in the summer to be able to experience their patio dining and pizza!

Overall an excellent experience…service was outstanding…ambience was excellent….Caesar Salad was very good…Risotto was exceptional… But I should have known better not to order halibut in an Italian restaurant! Unfortunately the previously frozen fish was over cooked, and was somewhat dry and stringy….although the Cajun rub and grilled vegetables were an excellent accompaniment…it’s a shame we can’t get fresher seafood in Edmonton on a more consistent basis!

Dinner and service were excellent, we had the fettuccini signature dish and the short ribs, both outstanding!! Only down side was we had a small table for two upstairs where they also seat larger groups. Before our entrees were delivered there were two large groups brought to their tables and the noise level was undesirable. Definitely not taking away from their fun, we were just looking for a nice quiet date night. We will definitely be back, I will just have to remember to request a table downstairs. Thanks for amazing food! See you again soon!

Food was OK, we had salmon and osso bucco, which were both cooked well, dessert were done very well - cheesecake and creme brulee were very tasty. The restaurant was moderately busy, and only one server for the whole place that we could see. Service was not good for the 2 people stuck in the corner. Larger tables always get more service, for obvious reasons - one being tips will be larger. We saw other staff in the room but I don't know what their function was. Our server seemed to spend more time bussing tables and standing in the kitchen. Just a totally unpleasant night when you are dropping over $200 for a meal with wine for 2 people. I would have tipped more if we had better service. I like to support local restaurants but will not be able to do so in this case. Their menu doesn't seem to change seasonally either. Goodbye Violino!

Very delicious food and good portion sizes. We had the steamed mussels in the garlic white wine sauce, bruschetta and caprese salad, followed by their surf and turf special of the day. Everything was fabulous and the waitress made an excellent wine recommendation. TMy husband enjoyed the Italian old fashioned. The atmosphere was romantic and cozy. Will definitely return.

Again, Violino and Adrian delivered a wonderful evening with great food and ambiance. Never disappoints and the food was amazing. Celebrating a friends birthday here was great. The staff were warm, attentive and most of all pleasant. The so so Gucci was delicious!! Kudos to the chef. The only thing I have noticed after frequenting this beautiful restaurant for years, is how substantially the prices have risen. A sign of the times I suppose. I would highly recommend Violinos for any occasion🌹

This was a fantastic restaurant to celebrate our 25th anniversary. My husband and I enjoyed the ambience, excellent service, and delicious food. It was a pleasant surprise to get a complimentary dessert for an extra-special treat! We will certainly go back to Il Violino for our next celebration.

Violino was good but not great. Food was more Italian Garden quality rather than fine dining. Prices were outrageously high for what was received. Server was very friendly and provided above average service. Very nice room but I won't be rushing back.

This was our second time here, first time was really good all around, I had surf and turf special the second time, was bad but was worth what I paid! Italian is definitely there forte and very well!!
