Best Argentinian Restaurants in Fleet Street

Nico is the absolute best. Honestly my favourite spot in London for Argentinian food. Period. As an Argentinian is a challenge to find a spot that not only reflects the true foodie culture that Argentinians love but culture and ambience alone won’t stand without the food. I will forever return. Even if we’re one hour away, worth it every time. My partner eats meat (as a true Argentinian and says this is the best!) I am a pescatarian and dream about the octopus. This is such a good dish!! Huge portions, impeccably cooked and the service is 10/10. They will always make you feel like you’re at home. If you’re into beer, grab a quilmes 🍻 Gracias nico por tanto!!

Calm atmosphere, delicious food and friendly, prompt service - excellent overall

I visited Gaucho Chancery Lane for lunch and had a really lovely experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were exceptional — everyone was friendly, attentive and genuinely happy to help. It was a pleasure speaking with staff who were so knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer questions with ease. The food arrived promptly, and everything we ordered was beautifully prepared, high quality and very generous in portion size. Although it’s known as a steak restaurant, I really appreciated the variety on the menu and the fact there were options if you’re not in the mood for a large cut of meat. It’s definitely one of my go‑to favourites in that area and somewhere I’d happily return to.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The meat was outstanding—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was flawless, attentive without being intrusive. And the wine was just as impressive, pairing beautifully with the meal. Highly recommended!
