Dine on comfort food with a touch of New England, Louisiana and Virginia flair at Tupelo in Cambridge. Owners Renee McLeod and Mike Walker opened its doors in 2009 for guests to enjoy classic dishes with a twist. An appetizer of fried chicken livers with apricot-habanera jam or mussels steamed in white wine will please the palate at Tupelo. A main course of Cajun gumbo with smoked andouille sausage, herb-roasted trout with cheddar grits or braised pork belly topped with hominy salsa. Tasty desserts from Petsie Pies are also available.
Tupelo has been awarded numerous awards. It hosts events throughout the year, such as JazzFest dinners and Date Night Thursdays. This restaurant serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
