Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Mattapan

Exceptional as always! Food is terrific. Staff professional and personable. Love sitting at the bar and watching the staff. Amazing.

We've been going to The Haven for years and we've been soaking in the Tartan Army traffic cone vibes all summer. We weren't sure what the vibe would be in England v. Norway, but there were folks cheering on both sides and everything friendly and cordial. Also: I usually get the Haven burger but they had quite a few new things on their bar/game night menu. I tried the chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had (and thank you, thank you for having a gluten free bun!) My husband had a steak pie and haddie croquettes. I didn't get to try them because of the gluten but he said they were great. Mangers cider was also a bonus (before this summer, they only had cider in cans.) The waitress was also incredibly attentive but never intrusive. See you Wednesday!

Great service, delicious food and beautiful decor

This was my third time there- I love this restaurant! The food is consistently excellent; the service is always warm and attentive. We were seated inside and it got a little noisy as the restaurant filled up. Overall an excellent experience- one of my all time favorite restaurants!

Five Horses was awesome! They accommodated 8 people beautifully, we were also on a time crunch and they made sure we were on time, since we were all talking and eating we lost track of time! The food was amazing! we all had fantastic meals, they even have tator tots on the menu which were a big hit for our table. I will go back often! The atmosphere felt kind and a neighborhood pub where we are all welcome.
