- JJohnSeattle / Eastern Washington •1 review5.0Dined on Apr 17, 2026What a great afternoon. Texans love BBQ, and I'm no different. This is the best in Seattle. Food=great. Ambiance=authentic meriting an A+ Hushpuppies - Hush! Chili with no beans...I'm coming back just for the Chili!!! There's plenty of excellence to choose from (the menu made my mouth water ... just reading it brought homesick tears to my Lone Starry eyes). Portions, generous. Great selection of beers on tap, full bar. I had the Pork Rib platter, with a side of the best cornbread I've had anywhere west of the Pecos: their own special, magical, mysterious recipe. The noise was no big deal - again, authentic! People having a great time, talking, eating, convivial. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive - she got a good tip and it wasn't as much as she deserved! I was there at 3 pm on a Friday, and the place was still well-attended. Enjoy a little taste of El Paso and Austin, two of the places in the World I miss the most! Now I'm adding Seattle, SoDo, Airport Way. Jacks! By the way, don't forget the pecan pie...oh, for sure.More infoJack's BBQ - SoDo$$$$• Barbecue• Georgetown•4.6
