- AAutumn1 review5.0Dined todayWent here for our anniversary and can say wholeheartedly that we made the right decision! I’m not one to usually write reviews, but the food was delicious and the service was one of the best I’ve ever received!! For as busy as they get they are still incredibly attentive and personable! Kiki was probably the best server I’ve ever had at a restaurant and definitely made our night/anniversary! 10/10 would eat here again!!More infoDovetail$$$$• Contemporary Canadian• Yaletown•4.8
- DDonaldGoldWinnipeg / Manitoba •103 reviews5.0Dined todayWhenever I am in town, I make it a point to dine at Hawksworth. The ambience, staff and competent kitchen have never disappointed me. This evening was no exception. At the reception desk I enjoyed a warm welcome snd was promptly seated. The serving staff deftly coordinated to provide me with a good meal and wise counsel on wine pairing. The shrimp cocktail proved worthwhile. Fresh, plump shrimp on ice were offered with both avocado and classic tomato seafood sauces. The saddle of lamb impressed me with its presentation in a deep, savoury fond that had a depth and taste that were exceptional. Chanterelle mushrooms added to the flavour profile of the dish. I finished the meal with a strawberry and rhubarb crumble, garnished with an artfully rich dollop of house made vanilla ice cream. The local strawberries were ripe and bursting with sweetness. Completely red on the inside, they helped me recall the sublime delight of ripe berries. The deceptive strawberries that are usually green and woody inside can make one forget the magnificence of a simple ripe berry. Hawksworth remains one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver.More infoHawksworth Restaurant$$$$• Contemporary Canadian• Yaletown•4.7
- JJamesOttawa •8 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFantastic experience. Let the restaurant know that this was a special occasion for one of my family members and they could make a fuss over her. And they did! Superbly done with skill and deftness. She knew that she was the star without everyone in the restaurant knowing. Excellent attention from the wait staff, sommelier and host. Everyone was very kind and generous in explaining the menu. Not an every day high-end restaurant guy but the staff made me feel comfortable and that I should be! Food was superb. We cook a lot at home but we could not create any of the dishes that we ate. The flavours and textures were amazing. Seamless flow of plates and the combination put together by our waiter created a night to remember. Moral of the story, maybe go out less, but when you do go out, go to Published on Main!More infoPublished on Main$$$$• Contemporary Canadian• Mount Pleasant•4.7
