I’m very particular about Indian food, and this place truly felt like home. The flavours, variety, and presentation were outstanding. Since it was my birthday dinner, I did a lot of research before booking, and I genuinely couldn’t have chosen a better place. I do understand some of the reviews regarding portion sizes, and I somewhat agree. In Sydney, fine-dining Indian restaurants usually serve more generous mains, whereas smaller portions seem to be more common at upscale Indian restaurants in Melbourne. That said, it didn’t bother me because the quality of the meal completely made up for it. In fact, I wanted to go back the next day just to get takeaway to bring back to Sydney, but unfortunately my itinerary didn’t allow it. This is definitely a must-try spot, and I wouldn’t skip it on any future trip to Melbourne.
