Best International Restaurants in Saint-Michel

I have found Ile Flottante to be the finest restaurant in Montreal. Exceptional quality, creative and frankly my favourite restaurant. I’ve been going for years. Flawless for foodies

We were a party of 3 for a business/casual dinner. From the beginning, the service we received was excellent. A colleague came from out of town and all staff communicated easily in both French and English. The weather was fantastic as were the views overlooking the St. Lawrence river. The drinks were delicious and the food was divine. My drink order was the Collins Royal then the Mint Refresher and my food order consisted of the Cantaloupe and Lemongrass Gazpacho, Tuna Tartare then shared the Paris-Brest with the others. The only downside is that they do not serve coffee or tea on the terrace. We were told that the only coffee available would be from the first floor and that the coffee was from that morning (we were there for supper). Other than that, we never felt rushed and overall had a lovely experience.

Dinner completely exceeded my expectations! The food was creative and very, very good. The cauliflower-cheese fritters were filled with gooey melted cheese and were served on top of a wonderful drizzle of sauce. The pan-seared salmon had a hint of ginger jam glaze on top and the shiitake broth had a nice gingery taste. Ordered the rhubarb pavlova for dessert (all of this was shared with my spouse) - what a beautiful, yummy, creative finish to a delightful meal!

Excellent place to enjoy a nice glass of wine with friends.

Such a happening spot. Very beautiful crowd. Great music. Chic cocktails. 10/10
