Time counts at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. Since our humble beginnings back in 1978, we’ve continued to refine our brewhouse experience to make BJ’s a place where you can make the most of any meal. We want BJ’s to be a place where the moment you leave is the moment you plan on coming back. We pride ourselves in our craft and attention to detail. Our guests come here for our award-winning handcrafted beer. They come here for the Southern California twist we’ve put on the Chicago-style deep dish pizza. And they come here for our Pizookies®, our world-renowned dessert. But above all we know people come here to make their good times better. So in many ways we haven’t just crafted a brand, but a mindset. And our guests are the reason for this. And it’s because of them we’re continually striving to make sure every moment they choose to spend with us counts. Welcome to BJ’s, a restaurant with a Brewhouse soul.

It was the 1930s and Six Mile and Conant was like any street corner in Detroit… people walking to the market, neighbors helping neighbors, and friends meeting at the local gathering spot now known as Buddy’s. Buddy’s existed as a “blind pig,” skirting the State and Federal laws that governed the on-site sale and usage of alcohol. Booze was available there. The owner at the time was August “Gus” Guerra.

Detroit is what it builds. 75 years ago a new style of pizza was born in the Motor City and it was different. What makes a pizza Detroit-Style? The same things that made Detroit – a little bit of ingenuity, some stubborn spirit and a whole lot of heart. It’s what sparked an original idea back in 1946 to take a steel auto pan, create something new and make Buddy’s the birthplace of Detroit-Style Pizza.Detroit is what it builds. 75 years ago a new style of pizza was born in the Motor City and it was different. My daughter and I have been trying to eat here since early March. It’s like every time we drove by there it would be a line out the door and we saw people waiting even though the lines were long but we decided the food and service must be great to have that type of turnout! So God granted me wisdom and gave me the idea of seeing if reservations were an option and the rest is history! The food and the famous Pizookie Trio were awesome! Our server, Kylie was pleasant, patient and kind. There were so many options to choose from so we will definitely return.

I've been multiple times but for their delicious pizza but this was the first time ordering pasta dishes. Mother's Day at 900 Degrees was awesome! All the women were given a "welcome" tulip - such a nice touch! We ordered the pappardelle with lamb and the linguine with clams, mussels, shrimp. Both dishes were piping hot and portions were generous. A side salad was only $3 and also quite generous portion-wise. Staff was attentive and personable. Highly recommend for a delicious meal out!
