Loved this place. 1st time there and weren’t sure what to expect considering we didn’t have the best time at its sister restaurant next door. We loved it. From the popover to the filet to dessert. Everything was great. Found out mostly everything is made in house and you can tell. Can’t wait to go back

Pricey, so I wouldn't eat there every week, but well worth the price for what I had which was the Faroe Islands crispy skin salmon with spinach, other vegetables & fingerling potatoes. The salmon was excellent and the skin was so crisp! I would always eat salmon skin if I could cook it like that.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at 1639. Delicious food and drinks and a wonderful server, Natasha, made for a memorable evening in Newport! Thank you so much!
