Every year we spend our anniversary at this particular Humble Grape in Liverpool Street, as it is where we met. I asked to be placed in the precise placing where we sat, and was greeted with a friendly smile by Karon (please excuse any spelling) and a readily made special table to enjoy the evening. The wine flight was tasty, giving an array of differing notes. The food was incredible and good value for money; we highly recommend the halloumi starter and fried cauliflower. Mains were steak perfectly cooked medium rare, and the tart (huge portion). This was served personally by the chef - a lovely touch for the occasion. Karon was brilliant with his service, and wine knowledge too. He made us feel warm and at home, and without being overly familiar either. Just the right balance. A star performer for Humble Grape. We will certainly keep ion returning to this gem of a wine bar restaurant.
