This hidden gem, a short walk from London Bridge, is London’s first real wine bar opened in 1965 by John Davy trading as a Free Vintner.     A great venue, away from the hustle and bustle of Borough Market. Menu changes every few weeks. My favourite starter is the scotch egg (divine!), sausage and mash always good. Pear crumble dessert is fab. The outstanding thing about the restaurant is its staff who are so professional and knowledgeable.
