Best Cozy Restaurants in Arverne

One of the better local restaurants on Long Island South Shore in Rockville Center. Happening bar scene, professional wait staff, friendly service, innovative cuisine.  Overall a very good value for the money. Worth the trip if you like French inspired/American cuisine.

We celebrated our anniversary here last night and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff surprised us with complimentary champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch. The Paloma Spritz was delicious, refreshing and strong, and the food was outstanding—the ribeye was perfectly cooked and so plentiful I brought half home, while my boyfriend loved the short ribs. We also shared the crab cake and Brussel sprouts, then finished with crème brûlée and sorbet. The service was attentive and genuinely warm, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance of upscale and comfortable. An absolute win—we'll definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed a late lunch at Sailor. Every aspect of our experience met or exceeded our expectations. We sampled several of the smaller plates and highly recommend the deviled eggs and fried anchovies. As for the mains, the omelette, Ruben sandwich and burger and fries were all first rate. Olive oil cake was a nice way to wrap up the meal. Service and ambience were excellent. Looking forward to returning.

Gio's Atlantic Beach is a very special restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service staff are exceptional. I've been going here for about two years. I live in Queens, NY which is a trip, but it's worth it. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The MOUTH Kitchen + Bar at Brooklyn Art Haus is such a gem. The food was absolutely wonderful, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the space itself is stunning. What makes it even more special is the full experience you can have. After dinner you can relax in their lounge with a visual art gallery or catch a show right in the venue. There’s always something exciting happening, with amazing art and performances that make every visit feel unique. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a night that’s more than just a meal!
