They are well known on the local culinary scene, having two other restaurants in the local area - Merienda Keswick and the French inspired Ivy House in Braithwaite and the indian street food Bagheera in the Lakes Homemade and local are themes that run throughout everything we make, with local flavour and authentic taste the foundation of everything we produce. Excellent food, service and ambience. Parking was an issue though. The parking spaces available around the hotel were for guests staying in the hotel, there wasn’t any obvious parking for diners who had booked tables. This may not be the case though and if possible the restaurant should maybe advise visitors where they can park. When leaving we did have an issue with a guest who wasn’t very courteous and quite insulting but that wasn’t the restaurants fault. We would definitely visit again.

We booked here for a quiet weekend away from stress and to relax.. perfect place for that, noisiest things were ducks but nature at it's best, a perfect retreat.. will be back thank you
