Let’s start with the most important thing: the food at Little Donkey is genuinely exceptional. Every single dish we ordered delivered bold, layered flavor — the kind that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate what’s happening. We came as a group of seven, which can be a logistical adventure at any restaurant, but the service was warm, attentive, and actually fun — the staff clearly enjoys what they do. Is it loud? Yes. Bring your inside voice and then abandon it. But honestly, it only adds to the energy of the place, and it absolutely won’t keep me away. Little Donkey has earned a permanent spot in the rotation.

We had the best meal ever. We had the lamb special & the mozzarella prosciutto app with the tartufo sausage pasta. It was honestly one of the best meals of our lives and our server was so sweet and pleasant. Everyone was so attentive & amazing. We sat downstairs and it was so cozy. Will definitely be back soon as I was so impressed with the fresh pasta.

We have been fortunate enough to frequent this establishment for the past four years while our child attended college in Boston. The ambience is spectacular and all the staff make you feel like family. The food and service is top notch. We feel it’s the best restaurant in the north end in the city of Boston.
