Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Foster City

This is an excellent restaurant in all aspects. The way the owners redesigned the indoor part from how it was for the previous restaurants there is so much more light and attractive. The service was flawless, from the friendly professional staff to the little things like having our water glasses refilled before they were ever empty. Every part of our meals was delicious and well presented, from the green humus and pita bread appetizer to my branzino fish (one of the best I've ever had) and my wife's Moroccan spiced chicken to the baclava-and-honey-comb-ice-cream dessert. There is a great Albino wine by the glass. This is a little more expensive than some other local restaurants but the prices are well worth it.

Velvet 48 is my favorite wine bar. They have interesting selections of wines and always adding new and interesting wines from Europe and the states. The staff are knowledgeable and offer tastings. They are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The noise level is perfect to enjoy your wine and conversations.

My reservation was at 7:15pm but I came in early and they were able to sit us early. That was awesome. The service was a little slow as expected because they were busy. Everything else was great
