• Gastro Pub • Bath
Booked 21 times today
Just around the corner from Bath's Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the food quality you’d expect of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, and inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to the quality of both food and service. It’s no wonder it's won the Bath Gastropub of the Year title more than any competitors.Food is essentially, though not slavishly, English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. Its food reputation is matched by their service - always friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and there's an extensive wine list and selection of local ales to choose from. The Marlborough's pub garden is arguably Bath’s finest; a walled courtyard space, that’s perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.

The new chef, James has brought a great new taste to the Old Neighbourhood! I had the chicken leg and my partner had the skates wing. We both said the food was deliciously outstanding! The wine list is perfect. The service is always polite and prompt. The vibe is always good. We will be back to try the rest of the menu! :)

Everything was excellent apart from the state of the outside tables which looked like a deep clean of coat of paint would be beneficial as cutlery was put on them - would be better on napkins. Otherwise a great meal
