    My wife and I are Edinburgh residents, so make only occasional visits to Newcastle, but when we do and want to celebrate a special occasion, Dobson and Parnell on the Quayside is one of the first places we think of. On Thursday we booked it for lunch to celebrate a family member's birthday, and it did not disappoint! As always, the service and the food were excellent, and we love the ambience - and the location. After lunch we had a very pleasant walk along the Quayside.

    NEVER have I ever had such a wonderful experience for a date night. That’s why I go back there a few times a year! I wish I could afford it more. Staff brilliant and very very friendly and accommodating. Food absolutely tops. And the venue itself is stunning and historic.

    Dined with my 19 year old son and we were both delighted with our food. Small menu but still plenty of choice over an exciting array of dishes. All cooked to perfection. Lovely, attentive service without being too obtrusive. Definitely recommend
