Best Seasonal Restaurants in Colchester, Essex

Been wanting to go here for a meal for ages. We have heard so many good things about it. We were not disappointed, the food and service is fantastic. We only had the set meal which was so so good. We will definitely try some more adventurous dishes next time.

Our waitress was particularly good; she engaged very comfortably in conversation and took a real interest in us as customers.

Enjoyed my meal at Stark from start to finish. I was expecting something a bit pretentious ( my visit was a present) as I’m not a frequenter of Michelin starred restaurants. Wow what a pleasant surprise. Real proper food, all top quality ingredients cooked and presented to perfection. I loved it. Normally I’d steer away from a set menu costing £100 but I now “get it” . If you want top notch food prepared with skill, and I’d say a big dollop of love, then it’s going to cost. But the experience- tremendous. Can’t wait to go again . Thanks- it was a real treat.

The food is always excellent, I had the garden plate whick has lots of different elements, yummy. My friend had fruit pancakes which ain't really my thing but I tried some anyway and they were delicious. Ambience and staff fantastic. Should be able to pay with cash and tip staff with cash. Service charge should be made obvious too.
