Best Seasonal Restaurants in Midtown, Nashville

My first visit to Amerigos on West End, but my friend had been several times before. The waiter was quite good - he accommodated our request to be moved to a table from the booth we’d initially been given, and helped us navigate the menu, answering clearly our questions about several different dishes. The wine list has a good selection of options, and was reasonably priced - we ordered a very good Sangiovese. Beach ordered a different salad - both were very generous portions, and were excellent. My entree was veal picatta - it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but was quite good and again a very generous serving. My friend was pleased with her order as well (although I don’t recall the exact dish). We closed with a tiramisu that we split - it was delicious! When the bill came, I thought it was quite reasonable. All in all, for a relatively casual restaurant, the food was very good, the service was very good, and the bill quite reasonable.

We absolutely loved our dinner here. We experienced new flavors and food combinations that were amazingly delicious and sophisticated. We particularly loved a new cocktail created by their mixologist called Fossil Fire. It was the most nostalgic smokey drink we've ever had and delicious. This bartender is leading the cocktail program and his cocktail menus are going to be next level. Keep an eye out! The food was perfectly cooked and prepared, served hot, and a comfortable portion. If youre in the area, or staying at the hotel, you HAVE to have a meal here.

Talk about Southern Hospitality! Christie (sorry if I spell it wrong!) was an absolute rock star! She provided excellent service with a smile, gave fantastic recommendations, and even offered us a drink to go. She was training a new staff person and her patience was evident. This is an unassuming little place with a great menu. Their Gouda grits are thick and cheesy, but for me their biscuits were the standout. I tried their midtown biscuits and they were 10/10. My husband, who LOVES chicken and biscuits got their Nashville Hot chicken biscuits, with a side of gravy to smother on top. He kept raving about how good it was. After dinner later that day (at an excellent restaurant) he said the best bite of the day was the chicken biscuit. Heck, that might be his favorite of the trip! Would definitely come back for a round two, highly recommend this place. Yum!
