We came to London for a theatre trip, and found Osteria by Bocconcino on the internet. We decided to try it, and we were so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to order, and it was beautifully presented. The staff were so helpful and explained any dishes we didn't know. The portion sizes are generous, but they are happy for diners to share plates. We had a gorgeous bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which I recommend. Whilst we are not local, we have already decided to visit Osteria by Boccocino again. Live music was provided with a singer and guitar accompaniment which wasn't intrusive but added to the Italian ambience. A fabulous evening.

Our experience was a Thursday evening from 6.30pm. An airy and good sized restaurant located very well on Upper Street. a 10/12 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Station and a 5 minute walk from Angel Station. Plenty of other diners but noise levels was reasonable and not chaotic. The service, staff were friendly and professional, always good when staff know the menu and what to recommend and tweak if necessary (dining with a friend with nut allergy) The food was the best part. We had the Thai mixed starter for two, with a few main dishes which we shared and ended with herbal teas. Highly recommend the Weeping Tiger from the main dishes Unable to sample any desserts we were too full. Incredibly delicious and very tasty and I believe it was priced accordingly to the quality of the food. I would definitely eat there again, perhaps try another Thai Square restaurant in another London location.
