Service was outstanding and food quality was top notch. Ask for it rare and it’s not served medium rare. - IIgorChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoTerrace 16 (Chicago) The Vibe: If you want to feel like a high-flying billionaire without actually having to buy a tech startup, this is the spot. Perched right on the 16th floor, the outdoor terrace gives you a front-row seat to the Chicago River and the city's killer architecture. It’s chic, it’s bustling, and yes, you will take twenty photos of your drink against the skyline. The Food & Drink: I ordered a cocktail that cost about as much as a night in a hostel, but honestly? Worth it for the view alone. The menu leans modern American—sophisticated but not so pretentious that you don’t recognize the ingredients. The heirloom tomato salad was incredibly fresh, and the flatiron steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The Verdict: It’s definitely a splurge, so my backpacker budget took a slight hit, but the atmosphere is unmatched. Perfect for a sunny afternoon or a classy nightcap. Just dress up a little—my trusty travel flannels stayed in the hotel room for this one. Rating: 4.5/5 * (Docked half a point because my wallet is currently crying, but my Instagram feed has never looked better).*More infoTerrace 16$$$$• Contemporary American• Near North•4.5

We chose to skip the tasting menu and pick two meats along with a number of sides and noodle dishes and were very happy. When we arrived to check in, we noticed Gosia was waiting on tables in the bar. OF COURSE, we opted to sit in her section as she is simply the best. Always greets us with a smile, so kind & attentive. We love her and her service is perfection! She was really busy but still provides top notch service. The food was divine, as it always is!
