- AAlysonPerthshire/Stirlingshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a wonderful evening at The French Quarter yesterday with my partner and our friend. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the team and, despite being around 20 minutes early for our booking, we were seated straight away without any issue. This was our second visit and once again everything was excellent. The service was friendly, attentive and relaxed throughout the evening. The staff really make you feel welcome and create such a comfortable atmosphere. The food and drinks were fantastic and enjoyed by all of us. Each course was beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. We also really appreciated that we were never rushed between courses or at the end of the meal, which made the whole experience feel even more enjoyable and relaxed. We absolutely love this place and it has quickly become one of our favourite restaurants in Newcastle. A huge well done and thank you to the whole team at The French Quarter — we’ll definitely be back again soon.More infoThe French Quarter££££• French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.9

All cooked to perfection. Lovely, attentive service without being too obtrusive. Definitely recommendMore infoThe Broad Chare££££• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

- SSueNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined on May 8, 2026We always enjoy our meals at the Black Bull and feel it's a pity more people don't use this lovely pub more often for eating. We brought along our friends from USA who were craving good old-fashioned English food and the Black Bull delivered at such great value for money. I am vegetarian - always a challenge to find something I like, but here, their Mushroom Pie was absolutely lovely! The staff are always friendly, non-intrusive and endearingly self-mocking at times and the Manager is very helpful and likeable. My advice would be - don't always patronise the "posher" places in Morpeth - try out this little gem. Use it to avoid risking losing it.More infoBlack Bull, Morpeth££££• Pub• Morpeth•3.8
