Fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately we were late and failed to see the view and the sunset. But the service, presentation, and food was very good.

We started with excellent rustic bread accompanied by Bordier demi-sel butter and delicate prosciutto. The kitchen executes classic German dishes with precision—my companion enjoyed a perfectly prepared schnitzel topped with shaved black truffle and served alongside buttery potatoes. The dish struck the ideal balance between traditional comfort and refined execution. Another highlight was the beautifully composed fish course, presented with vibrant sauces and thoughtful plating that reflects the restaurant’s commitment to both flavor and visual presentation. Dessert was simple and elegant: house-made ice cream topped with fresh berries, the perfect finish after a leisurely lunch overlooking the vineyards and the Rhine valley. Of course, the star of the experience is the wine. We enjoyed a Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett Rotlack 2023, which showcased everything that makes Rheingau Riesling so compelling—bright acidity, delicate fruit, and remarkable balance. Service was warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Combined with the panoramic vineyard views and historic setting of Schloss Johannisberg, it creates a dining experience that feels both relaxed and special. If you are exploring the Rheingau, this is a must-stop for lunch.

Excellent service and food. Beouf bourgigogne was amazing and beed tartare. Views are incredible.

Celebrated my birthday with my husband and children. My son and daughter in law were here from Chicago . The food was excellent as well as the service. The highlight of the evening for my daughter who brought her dog was when the waiter brought her an extra menu for dogs! That was something we never experienced!
