The bowl of ramen she tasted was a perfect blend of comforting flavors that brightened her spirits. Arrived with no expectations - although Such and Such has a known reputation as one of the finer dining experiences in Canberra - and left comfortably full (and quite smug) about both food and drinks. Wait service was exceptional, with friendly knowledgeable staff who were attentive but paced the courses perfectly, and the food was outstanding. We had the set menu, with the starters setting the benchmark. But, things just kept getting better as courses progressed. Nuanced flavours beautifully balanced, offering an exploration of different but cleverly matched dishes singing on the palate. We did need to sit outside with Winter knocking on the door, but soon felt comfortable near very effective heaters that kept a brisk evening at bay. Did we love it? Yes! Food, service and entertainment all night was amazing. Especially enjoyed the warm olives, eggplant dip, maybe the best halloumi I’ve ever had, and the lamb was so tender, juicy and flavourful.
