We are returning customers….so that says it all. Fabulous quaint thatched building, cozy dining layout with helpful attentive staff. Extensive wine and bar options. Food and service very good, recommendations worked well for us.

The whole experience from arrival to end was outstanding. We had the tasting menu, starting with some beautiful bread and then eight courses which were all perfectly presented and tasted fantastic with some much intricate design to each dish. We finished with coffee and chocolates..coffee was excellent but the stand out was the hand crafted six chocolates (2 of each variety). To drink we had East of India cocktails - so enjoyable. Service from all the staff was perfect, knowledgeable and very attentive. First time to the Elephant and can’t praise enough. Yes it is not a cheap meal but for service, quality and taste it was worth every penny.

We had Sunday lunch here on 24th May. Having heard good things about the Inn, we were not disappointed. The service was attentive without being intrusive; the welcome was warm and the staff were very friendly. The food was great; we had the three meats roast dinner, and the food was well-presented, well-cooked and the portion size very generous. The ambience was great; we sat in the conservatory area watching a puppy playing in the garden! We liked hte fact that we couldn't hear any tv or music from our table. We will be returning, and I hope to arrange a group outing there with one of my social groups. Highly recommended!

Superb from start to finish. Our waitress was lovely, very helpful and kind about my allergies. The food was lovely - everything was what an afternoon tea should be! The view was stunning. Bravo.
