- AAndrewHouston •48 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a wonderful dining experience at Anthonie's Market Grill in Simonton. We chose to eat inside for the first time instead of on the huge outdoor covered patio. Our server Leah warmly greeted us and informed us of the evening's specials. She was quick to secure the last cut of the rotisserie Prime Rib while taking our cocktail order of 3 Old Fashioneds. Two were delivered with a smoky presentation and the third was a generous pour. The dinners were outstanding as the ladies had the two steak add-ons of lobster tail and the Crabmeat Asparagus Oscar dish. The portions were generous and both ladies really enjoyed the combo as a dinner entree. The Prime Rib was perfection and served Medium Rare as requested. The Teriyaki Steak also looked scrumptious. We finished the meal with Dekker's Chocolate Cake and an Espresso ice cream for desserts which topped off a delicious meal with great service from Leah. We are truly looking forward to our next opportunity for another awesome dining experience at Anthonie's later this summer.More infoAnthonie’s Market Grill$$$$• American• Fulshear•4.7

- VVirgilioGoldHouston •123 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoDinner at Perry's was another wonderful experience. Everything we tried from the menu was delicious (carpaccio and lobster bisque as starters; lamb chops, Symphony kabob, and vegan chopped steak with mac and cheese and corn brulee as main dishes; and the delightful dessert trio for dessert). The wine list is extensive with some very good wines at a reasonable price - we had an excellent bottle of the Fattoria dei Barbi Rosse Montalcino. What really stands out here is the service. Sarah took great care of us like a big sister, while we waited for Juan, our requested server, to arrive. Juan then took over and made sure we had everything we needed to make this evening such a great experience. You really do get treated like family here at this location. If you want the extra special treatment, ask for Juan. Then again, Sarah, Daniel, and the other folks here are also awesome.More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille - Sugar Land$$$$• Steakhouse• Sugar Land•4.7

Discover El Campo
When you drive southwest from Houston on U.S. Highway 59, you come to a little town that began as a railroad camp. El Campo was once considered by cowboys to be the "Pearl of the Prairies." In spite of the area's oil industry today, locally grown crops are an important economic commodity and a staple for nearby restaurants. You'll find lots of rice and corn on the menus at the numerous Mexican eateries. Likewise, the vast cattle industry in Texas accounts for the many barbecue restaurants in El Campo. Some smokehouses even sell fresh meat and Caribbean jerky. Since the Gulf of Mexico is not too far away, you'll have no trouble finding good seafood in town. Fish, oysters, stuffed crab, and shrimp are favorites among locals. Some area cuisine even has a hint of Cajun and Creole seasoning.
