Really busy Saturday afternoon - after a small queue (for the bar) we confirmed our reservation and we seated - quick with getting a drink order and then a food order - food arrived in approx 15 mins which given how busy it was was very impressive - three clean plates - highly recommend

NEVER have I ever had such a wonderful experience for a date night. That’s why I go back there a few times a year! I wish I could afford it more. Staff brilliant and very very friendly and accommodating. Food absolutely tops. And the venue itself is stunning and historic.

We had a wonderful evening at The French Quarter yesterday with my partner and our friend. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the team and, despite being around 20 minutes early for our booking, we were seated straight away without any issue. This was our second visit and once again everything was excellent. The service was friendly, attentive and relaxed throughout the evening. The staff really make you feel welcome and create such a comfortable atmosphere. The food and drinks were fantastic and enjoyed by all of us. Each course was beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. We also really appreciated that we were never rushed between courses or at the end of the meal, which made the whole experience feel even more enjoyable and relaxed. We absolutely love this place and it has quickly become one of our favourite restaurants in Newcastle. A huge well done and thank you to the whole team at The French Quarter — we’ll definitely be back again soon.

Dined with my 19 year old son and we were both delighted with our food. Small menu but still plenty of choice over an exciting array of dishes. All cooked to perfection. Lovely, attentive service without being too obtrusive. Definitely recommend

Would like to say thanks for the friendly and Welcome atmosphere on Friday. Especially the gentleman behind the bar who was serving. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kirkby Stephen
