- KKamrynGoldPhiladelphia County •5 reviews5.0Dined on May 20, 2026Didn't think it would be possible to love a restaurant more than I love Mawn (which is a lot) but here we are! My husband and I were obsessed with everything we ordered and left the restaurant brainstorming when we'll try to get a resy again. Here's what we ordered for 2 people: - 2x oysters each - papaya salad (they had a special for a less spicy version of the papaya salad, which def has a little heat!) - soft shell shrimp (a favorite from Mawn that we couldn't say no to) - Hamachi crudo - it was hard to pick one crudo but the coconut based sauce is what drew me in - hoe cake - insanely good and absolutely worth the hype. Perfect blend of savory and sweet. - whole fish - the special of the night, we're both suckers for a fried fish and we're so happy we got this before it ran out! We were absolutely stuffed when we left but I can't imagine not ordering any of the dishes we chose. Our waiter was thoroughly impressed with the amount of food we finished so maybe stick to 2 dishes per person!More infoSao$$$$• Oyster Bar• Philadelphia•4.9
- MMaryjaneGoldAtlantic City / South Jersey Shore •50 reviews5.0Dined on May 19, 2026The Victor Cafe is wonderful: The food is fabulous, and the waiters are classically trained opera singers. (They sing several times during the meal, but it doesn’t make service slow.) The place is 119 years old, and full of great memorabilia, including from its time as an RCA Victor studio - hence the name. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their varied meals, from seafood, to veal, to chicken parm to pasta. The Negroni was the best ever! Do go.More infoThe Victor Cafe - Philadelphia$$$$• Italian• South Philly•4.8
- BBrianPhiladelphia County •45 reviews4.0Dined on May 19, 2026Hi,!very nice small eatery in South Philadelphia. It is not a fancy place, but it is comfortable. It is not a BYOB. Parking is difficult. Circling the block, I was fortunate that a car pulled out of a spot. Unfortunately, I received a parking ticket despite using MeterUp, as did my dining partner. The artichoke dip appetizer was amazing. My chicken dish was great. The potato croquettes were a welcome surprise. My dining partner could not finish her meal. The waitress could not have been any nicer, endearing, and friendly. The cost was reasonable. I would go back again, and try to find a parking spot that won’t lead to a ticket - lolMore infoNoir$$$$• Italian• East Passyunk Avenue•4.8
