This was our first time at 1592 Wood Fired Kitchen and we will be back. My husband and i each had a cup of lemon chicken soup. Delicious! We shared the hummus with Armenian meat, pickled jalapeño’s, radishes and onions. A little spicy but we really enjoyed it. And had fried baby artichokes. Tasty but were prepared in very small bites. Maybe that’s why they’re called baby artichokes! Baklava was perfect. Loved those bite size portions!

We were seated outside adjacent to the street- too close to the street to be comfortable. The food was fine. Our service was good. Everyone in our party of four had different entrees. Everyone agreed that the food wasn’t remarkable. We didn’t linger for dessert as we normally would

We had a fabulous dinner last night. There were five of us… two of us ordered the mushroom risotto with grilled salmon, two ordered pulled lamb on open faced pita and one ordered the lamb/ beef kofta on open face pita plus an order of dirty fries. The risotto was creamy with a slight bite , vegetarian with a generous helping of delicious Parmesan cheese. The salmon had perfect char and was medium, cooked perfectly and oh so delicious. My friends all loved their pulled lamb and kofta. Portions are extremely generous and more than one person took home boxes. The dirty fries are Andy beyond delicious and worth ordering. The rest was very busy, service was terrific, attentive without being intrusive , ambience is fun, decor is eclectic and a mix of interesting people. The kitchen is to be congratulated for being on point!! Every meal came out together, fresh, hot and delicious!! We look forward to coming again soon and bringing more friends!

Everything about 1592 is a "10" It is my favorite restaurant in all of Sarasota. The service is excellent, the food is always interesting, plated beautifully, and the atmosphere is lovely. I've never had a bad dish here, and it's consistently magnicifent!
