    Caroline provided excellent service and the daily specials were phenomenal. I especially loved our cocktails & wine and the food portions are tremendous! Gorgeous room!

    This is a lovely dining experience. The Grille Room is set in an old mansion overlooking the beautiful grounds at Turner Hill. The service was unobtrusive and, because the floors and walls are all wood, the acoustics are excellent. No struggling to hear people across the table. We went to dinner at “Italian Night” and had an excellent meal. A varied menu with a made to order pasta bar as well. My first course of risotto with bacon wrapped scallops, fennel, and clementines was delicious. The chicken piccata and flank steak with lemon dressed arugula was cooked perfectly, and we all enjoyed the gelato with cappuccino and whipped cream for desert. We will be back.

    The food was terrific and the service very good. The old mansion is ok but could have a much better appeal - the owner should look at what has been done with The Quin House in Boston

    We celebrated Valentines dinner at Turner Hill and it was our first time there. We often dine at the Capital Grill but thought we would try something different. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who seated us in the function room. Decorated for Valentine’s Day with special touches like red accent lights and roses on the tables with red table linens. The room looked beautiful with a lovely detailed ceiling and a spectacular fireplace. The chairs however are not the most comfortable for sitting very long with little padding. If you have arthritis or back issues like my husband and I do take that into consideration if planning an event there. Our server was nice but often did not check on us for very long periods of time. Let’s put it this way at the end of our dinner we waited fifteen minutes of not seeing her enter the room to flag her down for the check so we had to ask the host who sat us for the check. I am not sure what is going on with their soda machine but both of our diet cokes had an odd after taste. I could not drink it. My husband thinks maybe they do not clean the soda lines or it is old. The popovers were lovely, the shrimp cocktail was border line cooked, the Caesar salad and the Beef Wellington were very good. They gave us complimentary strawberries that were warm and soft probably made too early and not chilled. My cream brûlée was very good but my husband’s sugar was soft and burnt. The straw that broke the camels back was the surprise fees that showed up on the check. I probably would not have written a review. The food was not bad and I really liked the Beef Wellington. It was an experience something different than our norm and yes they dropped the ball on a few things. We knew there was a set price and even knew we would pay more for the Caesar salad that we wanted and added as an extra. However the admin fee of 10 percent adding $24.10 plus the service charge fee of 10 percent adding an additional $24.10 then expecting a tip is insane!

We sincerely apologize for the service delays, beverage concerns, and inconsistencies with certain dishes. Your comments have been shared with our team for review and correction. As a no-tip club, we do include an administrative fee and service charge, but we understand if this was not clearly communicated it could feel unexpected, and we apologize for that as well. While Valentine’s Day is a high-volume evening, that should not impact your experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again.

    There was a limited menu for Valentine’s Day Appetizer ‘s were ok. My Beef Wellington was delicious & the Duck was cooked perfectly & very good. Deserts were good just not amazing. The server was friendly & very informative. We will go back when there is a full menu to choose from.
