Way too noisy culminating in a stressful and unpleasant time. We had to scream at each other to be heard and why play music when there is already enough noise? The place was packed and service was slow. We ordered drinks for 3 people. Two drinks came. The third one came after we asked for it. The wait for food was too long. The hamburgers were nicely served and good, but that is not enough to get us back there.

The food and atmosphere was perfection. Our server was not personable at all but it just made us laugh annoyed he seemed. We left a good tip hoping it would bring a smile to his stern face.

Food was excellent, service was good if a bit slow I booked the “Summer Madness” offer and told Reception when we arrived too. Yet, the bill did not reflect the discount and had to be pointed out to the waitress. A bit embarrassing as we were entertaining friends.

The Ivy Kensington has gone seriously downhill over the last 18 months. This time the service was very poor and the dishes were made with little care and considerably cheaper ingredients. For example the Olives provided were 6 in total for almost £5 avoid if you don’t want to begin your meal feeling ripped off. The burger was clearly reheated and incredibly dry, branded by my daughter as inedible, the steak tartare is now made of much cheaper meat than before turning a classic dish into a disappointment. For the prices charged you expect a higher quality of food, service and at the very least consistently. I have dined at this Ivy since they first opened here many times. I left this time questioning why I would ever return. It seems that they now struggle even to compete with the local fast food joints where at least even fairly low expectations can be met consistently. The brand has fallen far from the original and highly desirable restaurant in Covent Garden, what and shame

Extensive range of Brasserie classics. The starters were excellent and the mains likewise. The portion sizes were generous representing excellent value for money. Nice choice of cocktails and an extensive wine list. Plenty of wine by the glass options. A very enjoyable meal and my birthday profiterole was an unexpected bonus. Service was quick and attentive. Well be back.

Excellent service we say that the three most important attributes for a business are customer service, customer service and customer service the food was good too.

I booked a table for myself and my granddaughter’s 14th birthday. I let the restaurant know and they said they would make her birthday special. Unfortunately, although the food was excellent, the service was extremely offhand and no mention at all was made of the birthday.
