Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and had the best experience. I don’t remember our waiters name but he was so attentive making sure everything was perfect the whole time. They sat us close to the water and even took a Polaroid of us to remember the night. Such a special touch. I already loved La Mar but I love it even more now.

Nancy Oakes continues to hit home runs!! White asparagus, escargot with hollandaise -Wow! Soufflé with fresh morels. Another home run. Then the new desserts arrived. We had three; pistachio cake with a cream and an assortment of fresh luscious berries, a vanilla crème brûlée with the sweetest of tiny strawberries, and chocolate cake with a not too sweet milk chocolate sauce. Those were very big Wows! The staff are bright, affable, and attentive.

This is my 4th time visiting Arquet in the last 6 months. Why do I keep coming back with different groups of friends? I love the food variety and creative cocktails! Each bite you can taste the passion of each chef who put 120% into every single dish. The chicken is so tender and juicy, the snapper is cooked through yet moist, the short rib melts in your month. I can go on and on. Wine list is also incredible and majority of the selection is affordable and they are great tasting wine!

Our last meal was excellent as always. The leeks are a must, and the mushroom fricassee, french onion soup, and salmon were all excellent. One of our favorite places for a casual meal of excellent quality and great service.
