Havana has been committed to serving local and organic meats, produce and seafood since it opened 25 years ago. All of our meats are “naturally raised” meaning no steroids, antibiotics or hormones and “humanely raised” meaning room to roam, proper shelter and gentle handling. We make every effort to buy only sustainably harvested seafood, primarily from the Gulf of Maine. We have consistently searched out New England farmers and fisherfolk to purchase product that is not only great tasting but great for the environment and local economy as well.

    Amazing experience at Reading Room. Everything was first class service. Suzy was outstanding. Recommended the special , lobster and crab stuffed halibut! It was amazing. Husband had surf and turf loved it and really enjoyed dessert blueberry carrot cake / Cheesecake. Well worth the price and piano player just added to the elegant atmosphere.

    We had a great experience at Havana. We loved the dining area where our table was located. Our server, Ale was amazing! She was friendly, helpful and provided perfect recommendations for us. We truly enjoyed every minute while we were there. The lobster paella and lobster moqueca were delicious! The mussels were the best we have tasted! The sommelier was very friendly and helpful, we highly recommend Havana!

    There are many dining options in Bar Harbor that specialize in seafood and the choice is not an easy one. However, we have now spent two five day vacations in Bar Harbor in the last couple years and had the pleasure of eating at several of the top ranked restaurants and while they were all good, we found The Chart Room to have the nicest balance of sit down dining, relaxed atmosphere, nice ocean view, and high quality food.
