For 55 years Ralph Rosa fought all odds, including the Great Depression and Prohibition, and continued to provide Portsmouth great Italian classics.     We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday at your property! The Tiller was superb! The first night Hector at the bar was fantastic and the second night Lauren in the main dining room was spectacular. Both represented the restaurant and name so well. Hector guided us through the menu the first night and made some great recommendations. Lauren went above and beyond and was so wonderful to have as our server. Pleasant, friendly, professional. A true pleasure to dine at The Tiller!

    We reserved one of the sea globes for Mother’s Day and the experience was amazing. Overlooked the ocean while it rained and then transitioned to multiple rainbows in the distance. The kids were able to explore the outdoor fenced in area which is always a plus for the young ones. The wait staff were very kind and friendly. The lobster, brisket and whoopie pies were delicious.

    Always a great place to eat. It’s our favorite seafood restaurant in southern Maine. We have many seafood restaurants around us in Wells but always love to travel down to York for this place!
