$$$$•Italian•4.9(375)Authentic Tuscan restaurant serving seasonal Italian fare with all the convivial charm and allure of the Florentine neighborhood of San Frediano.
Opened in 1998 and located in the heart of what was then considered the city’s industrial warehouse district, tucked away on SoMa's Third Street, PAZZIA's buzzing dining room and outdoor patio quickly became a local favorite and destination spot for those “in the know”.
From fresh house made pasta, thin crust pizza, grilled meats and seasonal specialties to classic Italian aperitivo cocktails and convivially energetic Italian staff, PAZZIA is the perfect spot for a date night, family gathering, office function or delicious night out with friends.
PAZZIA offers indoor seating in a spacious dining room with banquette seating and views of the open kitchen, a more intimate lounge room with bar seating and tables around a fireplace and sheltered outdoor tables with heat lamps along the wide front patio.

Saison is driven by Lee’s dedication to purity and innovation, paired with a Grand Award-winning wine list, in a dynamic space where guest and team celebrate an intimate, culture-shifting experience. Chef Lee builds upon Saison’s formidable foundation, crafting nuanced flavors with intention, inspired by the culinary diversity of Northern California.
Saison has one of the country’s largest and most remarkable selections of Old and New World wine, with a special emphasis on Burgundy. Established by Saison Hospitality co-founder and Saison Winery winemaker Mark Bright, the list is now curated by Beverage & Service Director Molly Greene.Hakashi Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill

Prospect
$$$$•Contemporary American•4.7(2,687)Prospect is from the team behind San Francisco's acclaimed Boulevard. Partners Nancy Oakes (James Beard award-winning chef/owner of Boulevard), Pam Mazzola and Kathy King, have created a restaurant that pays tribute to contemporary American cuisine. Whether it's a cocktail and a bite at the bar, a casual meal at the communal table, guests will receive exceptional hospitable service. A warm modern space in the heart of SOMA, Prospect has become an anchor for the community.
A separate dining room is available for private events.Niku Steakhouse
$$$$•Steakhouse•4.7(1,159)Located in San Francisco’s Design District, Niku Steakhouse is a meat-focused restaurant, highlighting an in-house dry aging program, exclusive cuts of coveted Japanese A5 wagyu with an emphasis on wood fired cooking.
Niku, by the Omakase Restaurant Group, hosts a dining room oriented around a roaring custom binchotan charcoal and wood-fired grill, where guests watch as Executive Chef Dustin Falcon (Lazy Bear, The French Laundry) and his team prepare steaks to perfection. At Niku, there is a true marriage of American and Japanese sensibilities. Falcon’s cooking is driven by the terroir of Northern California — which finds its way onto the menu through foraged ingredients and products from local farmers — met with the highest quality domestic and A5 Japanese Beef.
AKIKOS
$$$$•Japanese•4.6(1,643)Nestled in the dynamic East Cut neighborhood, mere moments from the iconic Ferry Building, we invite you to an extraordinary experience — a reimagining of the sacred Omakase tradition through the lens of contemporary, sustainable philosophy.
Our menu is woven between innovation and reverence: Japanese culinary heritage elevated by the finest local, seasonal ingredients and pristine seafood sourced directly from Tokyo’s legendary Toyosu Fish Market — one of the world’s most prestigious seafood destinations.
Among our celebrated signatures is the Shokupan — grilled milk bread adorned with luscious otoro and shimmering golden Kaluga caviar. Equally unforgettable, our aged, coffee-cured bluefin tuna nigiri achieves a rare depth of flavor, each piece a testament to patience, precision, and uncompromising quality.
Omakase is offered exclusively for lunch ($170) and dinner ($270), exclusive of beverages, applicable sales tax, and San Francisco’s 6% health mandate fee.ABSteak by Chef Akira Back - San Francisco

Montesacro SOMA
$$$$•Pizzeria•4.7(2,405)Montesacro is the first “Pinseria Romana” in the United States.
The interior resembles old Roman “Fraschette”, offering a wide selection of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, cold dishes from Roman tradition and a modern take on pinsa, a low fat, low calorie and easy to digest flat bread made with a blend of rice, soy and wheat flour imported directly from Rome, all GMO free.
Our wine list represents mostly old world regions. We carry wines that are made from grape varietals native to their respective areas. We feature smaller producers of less known wines with a focus on organic, biodynamic and natural agriculture.
We look forward to hosting your next gathering with friends or private group dinner!
To host a private group dinner at MONTESACRO SoMa, please contact our Event manager Elena Manunta to elena@mintgroupsf.com or send an inquiry via https://montesacro.com/events-somaThe Roll

Our main offerings include Futomaki (sushi rolls), Kaisen-Don (sashimi rice bowls), and Large-Sized Nigiri and Inari Sushi.

- RRamGoldWashington, D.C. Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoExcellent as usual 😊 The new chicken pot pie was such an inspired revision of the classic. I loved the replacement of the cream sauce with almost a fortified broth. Additonally the lamb ribs tasted fantastic but could have used a more acidic sauce for me.More infoMarlowe$$$$• American• SOMA•4.5
- MMichaelSacramento / Sacramento Valley •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWow - if I could give 10 stars, I would!! Pazzia is always an incredible dining experience. The setting is reminiscent of a small Italian plaza - intimate yet providing privacy for conversation. The food is all hand-crafted, nothing frozen or pre-prepared. I always check the "specials" board, and last night the Ravioli was incredible!! when paired with the fine selection of Italian wines, I felt transported back to Italy!! The service team at Pazzia is second to none. They are always ready to fill your water glass get you a fresh glass of wine. The team has been together for quite a while, and it shows. From dinner prep to service, the Pazzia team is on it - they are the best!! And be sure to save room for dessert - the Tiramisu is one of the best I have ever had. I always get a second piece to take home!! All-in-all, Pazzia is a unique dining experience that should not be missed - I can't wait to go back!!More infoPazzia$$$$• Italian• SOMA•4.9
